Hi I have had arthroscopy and removed arthritis according to my surgeon. Pains in feet are like before but been told that I dont have arthritis at the moment because it has been removed.

Xrays were fine and no longer shows arthritis. Got a 2nd opinion and told same.

GP been told Im symptomatic so if you find out what is causing your pains which sound exactly the same as me. Please post on here. Im sure lots of people will be able to help you more; just Im not as experienced as other people on here...

I have periods when my toes hurt the soles of my feet also hurt.
Toes feel like they're curled up (although they're not).
The soles of my feet feel like I'm standing on needles.

Part of the problem is that inflammation due to RA comes and goes. One day you get painful feet, (like I have now), tomorrow it eases, then OK for a few days, then pain again. Very erratic, but normal for me. If checked when I don't have inflammation they look normal. ****'s Law dictates.

I posted some time ago that there are 33 joints in the foot and ankle. It only takes one to play up and .......... e020.gif

    Hi
I have OA in my knees and my feet hurt especially at the end of the day. When I get up for my nightly visit to the little girls room I'm almost of my tippy toes and stiff as a board. I literally shuffle to the loo. I think it's because we're inactive during the night and our joints stiffen up.

Other joints must be put under extra pressure when we walk and I suppose that's why our feet hurt. I hope to goodness I don't have OA in my feet.

    Where do you have OA?

I've joined a slimming club and have lost 6 pounds in just under a month. It's hard going especially as I can't do intensive exercise but it allows me to eat well on a low fat diet. I've also been trying out some low impact exercises to strengthen thigh muscles (stretches). I bought a little pedal machine from A.gos which is quite good now that my hubby has adapted it. It kept slipping on the carpet and rug. So he's securely mounted it on a thick board. I try and do 5/10 mins in the morning and 10 mins in the evening.

Exercise releases endorphins which make us feel better and less depressed and I didn't realise how much I missed it. It stops me dwelling on my disabilities.

Going to the slimming club means I have something to look forward to once a week as I don't get out that much. I go to Slim.ing W.rld.

    Regards
