Well, I've been to see a GP about my tingling arm and what I think (and still think) is a trapped nerve in my neck which I've had before ......... but I saw a different GP to my usual one, and this one well he is 'thorough' to say the least, and it takes ages for him to ask all his questions and test everything and anything he can think of.

He can't decide what is wrong ..... he doesnt' like to be stumped like that ..... so I go back next week for more prodding ....... and am going to be referred to physio again ........ to see if they can help.

I hope in the mean time that things get better on their own .... I'll soon have my own personal NHS the way I am collecting different specialists at the moment :lol::lol:

I'll let you know what happens ....:lol::lol::lol::lol:

    Hi Wonky,

Could it be the night splints though, if they make you sleep awkwardly maybe? I hope it eases for you soon and sending you buckets of (((( ))))'s and slurps... and it is him slurping not me honest  Cris xx

I think that the night splint is actually helping .... I don't feel the tingling in the morning .... ti comes on during the day more as I am doing more ...... or when I am sitting I can feel it across the back of my shoulders/top of back .....so a bit odd that way :? :?

but i am tense ...... (can't think why  ) so maybe that isn't helping.

thanks & you take care with your eyes and the cold to contend with , not to mention your employers and their little foibles.

    hugs

    Hi Wonkylegs
At least the GP is taking your tingling arm seriously. Hopefully they'll come up with a diagnosis soon.

They must like your personality! I think it helps to have a pleasant manner even though you're in agony.

    Take care

    Hi Wonky,

Glad your new doc is so thorough! at least he seems determined to find the cause rather than just making assumptions, so that has to be good. :D

hope you get some relief from it soon though....Irisx

Hi, Sounds a bit like a trapped nerve, I suppose he wants to know whats traping it? Better to have someone like that, then someone who sends you away without really bothering. #

I certainly am grateful for the attention, and I do know that I am lucky .... it is just so difficult to know what he is thinking and he can be a bit trying

I managed to drive ok today, and with the splints, the gloves and the exercises (not to mention the pain killers!) I managed to keep myself fairly pain free and not too stiff.

going to have an early night tonight and hope that helps.

    thank you all

I must be lucky i have a great GP who listens to wot i have to say
He has even said he would write a letter to Hr if i need hin to cos he dosent think its right how they r treating me
I suffer with pins & needles & numbness! Mine is due to my carpal tunnell syndrome for which i sometimes wear night splints which helps & the other is when my whole arm from elbow downwards goes numb think thats due to how i sleep as i curl up & sleep on my sides got a new type of neck pillow which helps as i dont wake up as much
It also depends where you get the pins & needles if you get it in your ring finger & little finger its probably due to carpal tunnell thats how my GP found out i told him it was my ulnar nerve but he was right! Dont you just hate that when they are right lol
    Hope they get you sorted

    Hope you get some answers.

    Hi Wonky
At least the doc isnt like a lot of them who looks at his watch and kicks you out when your time is up. Hope the pain eases and you get to the bottom of it
    Love

    thanks Maria, Anne & eileen,

I am feeling a touch better today cos I have rested like a good girl and not been too busy. :D

will see how the weekend goes and then get back to see the GP next week.

Oh for one week with no appointments

then again at least I am getting looked after unlike some poor souls on here who get ignored by those who should help them

    hugs to you all

    Hi Wonky,

I don't think he is thinking to find something just you had a really good check out flower. My Rumo did that tome and then referred me to the pain clinic and well she has also really helped me though sometimes she says something and I think  I see the extra attention as them looking for a problem but really all they are doing is being thorough.((( ))) and slurps xx ....... Do people get ignored by doctors then :lol::lol:
