Hi Bertyboy, I haven't met anyone on a forum before, but my mum has and they get on very well. I'm really pleased you got on with your forum friend, proven the cinics out there that it does happen. I do feel that I have made some truely wonderful people on here that I would call my friend.
    Hope you are well.

I have some very special friends on here and am so glad I joined. This is the only forum I've ever used and wouldn't have time to go on any others.

............actually that's a bit of a lie because I use a French forum but that's only to help me with my homework when I'm stuck and we're no allowed to chat

    Hi Berty,

I am totally with you on this one. I have never been on a forum before, only do this one and have met a few people i feel have known forever and would consider then friends for sure.

I don't think to me there is any doubt that I do have some real true friends here. Some I have met for real and some I haven't but its a privilege to know them either way. ((( ))) and a hope your ok? Cris xx

I feel during the time I have been on here I have got to know some people very well by talking via a PM.

I know I can talk to them about anything and they me. They have been there for me when I really needed someone to talk to.

I'm sure if I met them they would be the same as on here. Yes, I think of them as friends

When I'm better in health than now I know we will meet one another.

I've not met anybody from here but I have met 2 mums from a new mothers forum.....one lived round the corner from me and although very nice we didn't really click. The other lives a bit further away but we are now firm friends as are our kids.
I would like to meeting people as it would be nice to put faces to names but don't really get much chance to sort out real socialising as babysitting is difficult to organise and is generally reserved for work dos or the odd occasion my hubby and I get together. Its just all a bit full on with work etc at the moment :? ....it'll sort itself but at the moment concentrating on keeping job etc
Online opens a world up that i would otherwise feel really isolated from which is great.

    Hi Berty!
Of course it's Ok - we live in the 21st century now & although I think an online relationship/friendship is very different from a face to face one it is still a friendship none the less.
I asked here about peoples thoughts on Second Life a while back & some people shot me down in flames however that is a forum just like any other including this one!
Don't worry about others opinions & just enjoy your new friendship

I remember meeting thes two lovely ladies in Leamington Spa when i was working for Arthritis Care.
I was doing a stand at an even when my boss sidled up to and said, 'Len I believe this lady needs to speak to you' He then moved away with an odd look on his face to reveal, a tall, elegant extremely well dressed Continental looking lady, I was immediately struck by her beauty and her warm breath in my ear, as she whispered, 'There is a cold wind blowing in from the Urals' This was the password I had been waiting for all week!
Honest! That is exactly how we met!.. Then Frogmorton bowled in!, Full of life, attractive and with a smile that would have launched a thousand navies, ' I am frogmorton! she said, giving me a big hug,yet another password I had been waiting for. And that is how I met Toni and Kate, two good and kind friends.
Darling Rehab you've remembered it all soooo well xxxx

Page (Sharon) and I have met up a few times. It is great to chat about arthur with someone who knows how you feel and we have a laugh about our aches and pains.
