I thought I would ask if anyone has stayed near Milton Keynes in a nice hotel, with good food and some beauty treats/facials for me. OH and I have the chance to get away early December- without the kids.

Can anybody make any recommendations before I trawl the internet?

I've not stayed near there Elizabeth but I love MK for shopping - it's a treat to go.

Hope you find somewhere, you'll enjoy a break especially after your low times.

We are going to a custom show on Sunday so just need to be in the vicinity.
Linda I used to go shopping at Milton Keynes when I was married. Parking used to be a headache and no need for a blue badge in those days.Fave shop was habitat.

    Elizabeth

ps. Got my elephant book today and I am tempted to read it but that will spoil the gift!

    Hi Elizabeth,

You're right we've only ever parked with a Blue Badge. I just love the layout of the whole shopping centre- it's so logical and plenty of loos so no wasted energy walking from one end to another looking for them

    What's a custom show?

    Luv Legs XX

PS You can always borrow the book afterwards ....I just hope she enjoys it after I've bigged it up so much

A custom show is where people display their custom bikes/ cars/ scooters. customising is spraying with pretty pics or designs plus lots of chrome, brass plating and even gold plating parts of the bikes. They give out trophies for the best.
I am just going to see friends.

However have just been told that OH invited a friend along too, to help him at the show so maybe it is all off now. I don't intend to waste the chance for some me time so might get him to drop me off on the way
