Hi
If you put an old wool sock,it has to be wool ,over your shoe it gives you a really good grip

Hope this helps--it was great for me last year-only problem is if you drive you have to take it off !!! but well worth the effort

What a good idea, I will give it a try...I bought snow grips last years for my shoes...brilliant in the snow or ice...the trouble is every time I went into a shop they had to come off...they become slippy on the floors  good for walking though...I will buy some wool socks tomorrow :)

Great tip ... now need some real wool socks.

I have snow grips too Barbara - but you can't walk indoors in them or drive in them ... so they are a faff.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.
