    Oh dear Cath

I remember your earlier posts and the struggle to get a phased return so this is not what you need! You are not a wimp at all, I think many us struggle when the recovery times from trying to do too much kick in and seem to take longer and longer to get over. Hope you can rest up today and get a better night tonight so that tomorrow doesn't seem too daunting. Hang in there and be nice to yourself today if you can.
Just leaving some healing hugs ((( ))) and best wishes.
    take care
    Chris

    Hi Katknapp
Oh dear what a shame your in so much pain after your start back to work. DO you have extra pain meds you can take when its really bad like this? I had one day back last month, i just managed 3 hours and that night and next day i felt like i had been run over. Its just not fair and others ask me the same as ur thinking Is it worth it?
A difficult choice to make for you, but it certainly isnt nice being in agony all day and night.
Wishing you well and hope next time at work is better for you

    Dear Cathy
Oh I so feel for you, I recently went back on a phased return and after 2 weeks had a meeting with my manager who felt that I would never get back to a situation where I would be able to fufil my contract - I can remember feeling very scared as I thought I was going to be finished on ill health - instead I was offered a new role part time and I consider that I must be one of the luckiest people alive!
I don't know what to say - how many hours are you doing - have you asked about part time or job share? I knew I would not be able to do as I did before and had prepared for the worst -- having decided that my health had to come first!
I am going to suffer financially ,but I will have to cut my cloth accordingly - as I say - my health has to come first!

    Hi...
The way things are for you now was what i was worrying about if i went back to work..
You will have to see how you are, if your bad then maybe thats your bodies way of saying it needs to rest..
See how you feel.. you may need to see your GP and speak with them..
    I hope you feel better..
    Take it easy..

    Hi Cath

Sorry to see this, was wondering how today would be for you. You have gritted your teeth and done your best lovey. Time to look after yourself for a while now, they simply don't deserve you. I can't advise on what happens now but hope you get some good advise on the financial position. Hang in there and take care of yourself.
best wishes and gentle hugs ((( )))

    Oh Cath,
What a shame its a horrible feeling when decisions like this are taken out of our hands, but obviously your body can not cope. Rest up and try not to worry too much. I really feel for you, but no one can say you didnt try your hardest to be able to carry on.
Something will come turn up for you that is right but just now think of yourself and take your time to recover.
Hope your feeling a bit better soon and that the flare up isnt too ghastly!
    All the best

    Kath

I have replied to you on chit chat, but just want to offer you my support and hugs again.....I am so very very sorry

The process does take a little time and hopefully you will still get some pay or at leat SSP while it goes on.

They are just cutting their losses and you are a victim of the way it is theses days

You might need to lick your wounds for a little while.

    Love

    Toni xx

    Kath,

was very sorry to read this, as i did follow your original feed and had everything crossed for you. I truly hope that you start to firstly feel better with the arthur, and that secondly you do take some comfort in the fact that you tried really hard to make this work and you didnt give up, the company you work(ed) for have let you down and thats not your fault.
I saw you had posted about having shakes and i quite agree with what other people have said that it sounds like your body is under the most immense amount of stress, what with the flare up and your disappointment in the place that employed you.
I would still perhaps seek some advice regarding whether you do have any entitlement to statutory sick pay or even any other help you may be entitled to.
All i can say is that you should be so proud of yourself for not giving up.The system has totally let you down.

Hi, I'm so sorry how this has turned out. But clearly your body just could not cope with your job. I hope you get control of your flare and start to feel less sore soon.

I have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.

    Hi Kath ,
sorry to hear of your troubles:(
To dismiss you on health grounds they have to do everything correctly , and many companies do not know this .. they could still leave themselves open to unfair dismissal claims or disability discrimination grounds .

Seek advice from an employment specialist , and a call to ACAS could give you some options ...

    All the best

    Hi Katnapp...

I am really sorry to hear you are to be dismissed on medical grounds...
Same thing is happening to me...
I think that because we are unable to commit and know what days we are bad it is easier for the employee to dismiss rather than hang around and wait to see if we improve..
You need to ask for a copy of the sickness policy so you can read and know your rights...
I have had to read through mine so i am aware of what i am entitledtoo..
I have a meeting on wednesday to discuss everything..
Has a meeting been arranged for you.. ??
Make sure you have a representative too, i have my union rep who is coming with me, so that way i know everything will be done accordingly..
It's so sad that this has happened, but like people say , maybe this will give us chance to concentrate on getting better, without the added worry of work...x
