Chronic pain syndrome is not just directly linked to oa it can be a bi product of many different conditions. The whole issue is very non specific that simply means someone has pain lasting that 6 months that does not respond to most therapies if any, particularly therapies in the medical model of care. In people who have oa it can be related to fibromyalgia. I hope that gives you a little bit more information. To find out more about your particular case you will need to speak with your doctor.
