well today is the first day have felt normal since starting on sulfasalazine i do not feel sick or ill with aches all over lol not sure it working yet but at least do not feel ill :grin::lol::grin: thanks for all advice it did help get through it i know will still have bad days but today is good val

    Well done to you to fighting your way through it valval, these are powerful meds and for some they do need to be given a longer chance than just taking them for a week or whatever. I am lucky in that sulph has never given me any trouble and I hope it proves to be an effective treatment for you. DD

    thanks dd me to then will not have to take any stronger meds just phoned to see if can get next app changed to one in a morning instead of afternoon but they not got any cancellations yet will try again nearer time do not like taking time off work when only do 4 hours val

    Great news Val, long may it last. It's awful when you start a new drug and you feel worse and wonder if it's ever going to work.

    i do think the consultant rushed it a little, 1 twice a day 4 first week then up to 2 twice a day was bit fast. but think when he saw my hands (had not shown him before) how bad things were.
    but i am a stubborn so and so and will cope with what ever thrown at me lol val

    I'm sure you will, Val. One thing arthritis teaches is stubborness, though I think mine came first - according to the family. I hope the sulfa makes it a good year for you.
