Just wondered if anyone had had the above?
I'm on the waiting list for it for the spine. And something else for thwe knee but I can't remember what he said now.. Lol
He is going to do both at the same time though.

Have had a nosey on the tinterweb, looks like it is definately worth a go.

    Hi Tilly.
Have done the google too, ooo-err.. Lol
Looks like it can give good results. I know not to expect much though. That way I'm not disapointed if it does nowt for me.
Wish I could remember what he said he would do with the knees. Apparently the procedure he's doing on the spine is not possible for knees.. I think it was something similar though. Said something about the knee thing being a fairly new technique.

I'm taking today as a decent appointment. Just hope that by cutting the fentanyl down that I don't end up much worse. He did say that I could just keep using them if they are actually doing something... BUT, said that recent studies have shown that long term opioid use can effect the immune system, as I'm already on sulfa it's probably best not to be on both. This means apart from the paracetamol and diclofenac, if I stop the patches altogether I'll have no real pain relief.. I'll admit that I worry about that bit.

    Hi Sue.
Had the facet joint ones done at jimmy's. They have a clinic there in the back. Can't remember the unit name now.
They did help the back pain a bit yes.. That's why he's trying the next thing. I think if the facet ones help there's more chance of this new thing helping.
Have you got a date through for having them done? They're not so bad so don't worry about having them done.
who are you under and which pain clinic if you don't mind me asking. PM me if you like.

    Hi Tony

I have had Cervical Denervation Radio Frequency Dorsal Root Ganglion Blocks at C4,5/6 in 2008 which took away the pain for a long time. I do not think this is quite the same that you will be having though. I do not remember anything about it as I was sedated. I also had similar done at L4 & L5 in Decemb er 2009 and am still pain free from sciatica. Again do not remember anything as I was sedated again.

I am sure it will be fine, especially if it is anything similar to what I had done and the results were good for me.

thanks Elna.. This thing is tiny electrode type wires put through hollow needles to the correct spot, then a radio frequency sent down the wire, could be very similar to what you had.. I'm really hoping it helps.. Lol
    Thanks again hun. :D
