Hi
I'm back from my physio appointment.
Krysten said thgat although I hadnt been officially diagnosed with kypho scoliosis the last time I saw him it was obvious to him. He also said spinal stenosis tends to go with it.
I'm booked in for a 6 week session of acupuncture...starting in Jan.
I've also got some exercises to do....just range of movement ones because as he says I'm stiff all over.
Thats it until Jan.....nearly there

Love
Hileena

    Hi Hileena,

I hope the accupuncture works for you. I have heard some good things about it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I know we usually say not to pay too much heed to non-specialists who make a diagnosis but in this case I think the situation's different. From what you have told us before it would seem that he knows his stuff, and knows you. You have a treatment plan and we like plans - good luck with the exercises and I hope they help to 'free' things a little. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

    Hi Helen and DD
Helen I've had 2 sessions before and it worked. Not completely but 5 days out of the 7 I was fairly pain free so I was quite happy with that.
The only thing is ,with it being NHS they did 2 lots....12 weeks with a gap in between. Then decided that it wasnt working well enough to keep doing it. :(

DD Yes Kristen is good, knows me well....
You know me....I wont just accept anything they say if I dont think its right :lol::lol:
Fight to get appointments, fight when they try to do something that is contraindicated to the meds i take for epilepsy etc etc  but I've always been happy with what he has done and said.
He's going to do another 6 week session after this or a 3 week one with me going twice a week.
Next thing is see what the pain clinic says

    Hi
    Thanks Sticky and Barbara
When I phoned to make a date for the physiothgerapy they took my name then said....Oh you have to go to a certain physiotherapist...not the first appointment that comes.....so they must have checked notes from the middle of last year or so whiich is when I last saw him
As you say....It would make a great start to the new year
