R.I.P Richard Briers

Bless him, Richard Briers has died at the age of 79. He starred in The good life and Ever decreasing circles. Of course many other things also.
R.I.P Richard and thanks for all the laughs.

    I heard it on the radio, Ron, as I was driving back from the supermarket. What a shock but at least he died peacefully in his sleep which has to be the best way to go. What surprised me was how well he could do creepy - there was a Morse episode where he played a really unpleasant Don and he was superb. DD

    Thanks Ron....I adored anything he was in...he was so good at delivering his lines..like you say he always made people laugh....another sad loss.

    The Good Life - that's a memory from my dim and distant childhood :D

    Oh Yes. The good Life. I loved that series. He was so good along with Felicity Kendall. Those were such good series back then. He will be missed.

    Sadly we are loosing lots of real talent, and even sadder is there is not a lot, in my view, coming along to replace them. Certainly not a prude, and can swear as well as the rest of them when needed, but most comedy these days is all swearing, seems to loose its effect then!

    I do gather however, that he didn't like his character in The Good Life...still very funny though.
