Rheumatoid arthritis and Methotrexate

I have Rheumatoid arthritis and I have been taking Methotrexate as well as Enbrel and Plaquenil for it. I have been on these medicines for over 5 years and I have been fine. Recently; however, (about 6 weeks ago) I ran out of Methotrexate and I didn't have the money right away to refill it, so I kept on using the two other medicines that I am taking and just did not refill the Methotrexate. My shoulders, neck, and hands are extremely sore now. Is this because I have not taken the Methotrexate for so long?
Thanks,

I think that's more than likely. These meds do work on a cumulative basis. It's never a good idea to stop them.

Are you in the UK? If so, have you thought about getting a pre-payment card which saves money on meds? I think your local pharmacy could advise you.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Good idea

I have one I think it's cheaper even if you only collect two items a month.

I hope you acn sort this out soon and get back on your MTX ASAP

    Love
