So he decided he would have some cheese and crackers at supper time ,we had two new pieces of cheese one Red Leicester and one mature cheddar "which one shall I open" he asks "whichever one you fancy "says I "you pick one " says he " but your going to eat it "says I , so he ended up in a sulk and a strop with plain crackers ,because I didn't decide which one he wanted. WHY DO WE BOTHER. Mig

I bet if you'd chosen one, it would've been the wrong one anyway!

Ah. Yes. Silly Mr Mig but I guess we married ones do see this type of behaviour from time to time. The scene: DD's kitchen.

Me: Do you want tea or coffee?

    Him: What are you having?

Me: That's irrelevant, I can make both, I have the technology. (well, most of the time)

Him: I'll have what you're having.

Why? WHY? Just tell me what you want. His mum was the same. Do you want a drink, Mum? Yes please. What would you like? Whatever you're having. My mum, however, was different.

Would you like a drink, Little Mum?

Yes please, I would like a coffee, make sure it's strong with hot milk and at least two sugars. I'll have it in the little blue cup.

She would then trot into the kitchen to supervise. Why? WHY?

Talking of mothers-in-law, mine used to ask' "Would you like a cup of coffee?"

    "No thanks."

    "Tea?"

    "No thanks. I'm not thirsty."

    "Lemonade?"

"No thanks. I'm really not thirsty."

"Orange juice? Water? I think we have some sherry left?

    "I'll have a coffee please."

My Mum once made my Dad a cup of coffee and tea due to his indecision

He never tried that again
