Hello everyone and a great big thankyou for all your support and to our Joan for being such a lovely PA..
I have read all you post and you all so kind....
Has you know I had a slow start...it was due to the leg being longer... my consultant came to see me in recovery and explained that the joint was so far gone ..he had done his best...and when he does my other hip he will make sure they are the same length...I wish I had known he could have made me 5.9 tall instead of 5.4
I am all sweaty  but doing really well, just having paracetamol...for the min....the ted stocking have not come off yet...and I am desperate for a shower....hubby is going to wash my hair today while I lean backwards...it feels like a dream really ....cant quite believe I have done it
and I wouldn't have without you lot... :D so massive hugs and love to all of you...(((((()))))xx
Love
Barbara

Hi Barbara. Am so glad you are progressing ok after your little 'hiccups'. Just take it very gently and slowly and enjoy being waited on. Will pm you later.

BARBARA :D:D:D:D It's so lovely to see you back where you belong. Well done! I'm so very proud of you.

The hair will feel so much better after washing. Be careful he doesn't try to drown you while he has the opportunity  Mine has been known to try

I know you'll be sensible. You've waited so long for this hip. And now look at you - happily talking about the next one :o

Just a few gentle ones (((())))

You are completely and utterly excused support duties, oh lovely Barbara, because you have more important things to be going on with, viz. healing, exercises and resting. You did it girl, now comes the hard work, yes? We are there cheering you on every step of the way. ((((())))) DD

Morning Barbara. I just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you. Now, just send Mr B out to brew up for us both and I'll supervise the exercises while watching the cricket
