    Hi Mike
Welcome to the recently retired gang
At 49 I got my ill health retirement I'm March so it's still new to me and I still feel like I'm off sick
My stress levels have come down 100%
Hope it helps with your condition

    Hi Mike
Just class it as an extended holiday
Take each day as it comes
Make a list of what you want to do and if you can do them go for it
It's 3 months since I retired I think I was in denial but I realise the reason I've retired was because my condition stopped me doing my job so not through choice I had no other option hope I'm making sense
I worked constantly for 30 years so it is hard when I think I could still be working for next 15 years if I hadn't got my OA and Spondylo Arhtropathy
Enough of my waffling I think I'm getting a bit of brain fog

It's a big change and will take some getting used to, Mike.

My Dad loved his retirement and used it to do all the things he'd never been able to when working. He became a Yorkshire member and went to loads of cricket matches, did a fair bit of walking and got involved in voluntary work. OK so he didn;'t have arthritis  but even those of us who have can use our 'enforced leisure time' to enjoy ourselves or just make ourselves useful in ways in which we can.

You'll adapt in time and then, like my father-in-law, will wonder how you ever found time to work
