Degrees of Difficulty

There's the arthritic degree of difficulty and the non-arthritic degree.

I was wanting to put a present into a jiffy bag but, as the bags were not accessible to me (As, indeed, most things aren't  ) I asked Mr SW to get one out of the cupboard. He then attempted to shove the gift into the bag (A perfect fit) but got it stuck because he was inserting it lopsidedly.

“This is difficult” he announced, grumpily.

I looked at him in amazement to check that he meant it and then said precisely the wrong thing ie “No it isn't. Let me do it.” I then did an even worse thing ie got the gift into the bag at the second attempt despite my hands not being designed to hold and shove simultaneously

After a short interval when he strode out of the dining room and retreated behind his laptop, he kindly agreed to post it for me and marital harmony was restored. Ah the male ego. Such a delicate little flower
