Just stuck my head outside the bedroom window and ........ nothing, it looks a bit too cloudy in Manchester, anyone else seen them. Alanthemanc

    Alas, they seem to have been the 'southern lights' as far as England is concerned. The pics were terrific though.
    If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Something I have to do before I die is to see the aurora australis from a nice expedition to Antarctica, to see some killer whales. Although the aurora borealis would be easier to get to, the isolation of the southern region just makes it all the more romantic to me... plus it has penguins \o/
