Hello everyone,

Just over 3 years ago I shared with you the birth of our 1st grandson and now I’m proud to announce that just after Christmas Jack will be having a brother or sister or both as mummy and daddy are expecting twins!!

g052.gif

It is the best news ever and we are all excited at the prospect! We know it will be hard work and twice the expense but we are the luckiest people on the planet! :D:D

I just needed to shout it from the rooftops and tell the world ………..the ARC Forum is the closest I’ll get to that! So from up here in Cloud 9 I’M HAVING TWIN GRANDCHILDREN. b020.gif I feel better for that!

Love from a very excited,
Love, Legs x

Thank you so much Mig and Barbara!

They might be Christmas babies as twins can come early!

We're all compiling lists of names because we need four of each sex as we won't know what the babies will be till they're born! Perhaps I ought to ask people on here for their suggestions of names, that might help! :D

How exciting( and probably a wee bit daunting for the parents as well?).
Judging by your reaction perhaps Felix and/or Felicity, meaning happy, for names!

Nope Barbara I'm still on Cloud 9  Yes it was mine and Ruby's 1st time nannahood and look at what lovely 3 year olds we now have in our lives :D:D

Thank you for the names I have 2 of those on my list but not Niamh or Elise so I've added those. The girl list is longer than the boy list at the moment, I wonder if that's a sign!

Thanks Christine. I remember too! Did you stick to the 5 or has your family increased and I've missed it in my absence?

What wonderful news! Do you have twins in the family?

There are so many wonderful names. I know Toni and I would say Lucy and Charlotte but of course names have to flow with surnames. Jessica, Leah, Sadie and Eleanor,Ruby- the list is endless!

For boys I like Alexander, (Daniel but I think this is a family name for you), Aaron,Liam and Harry.

Hi E, good to see you, how are you?

The surname is Smith so anything goes!:lol: Thanks for all of those and, yes, Daniel is my eldest son's name. Because of our surname we all feel it would be best for the babies to have 2 names each.

My youngest brother and sister are fraternal twins but because d-i-l has released 2 eggs at the same time my son can't influence this although he can pass the twin gene down to any daughters they might have. Here endeth the biology lesson!

I shall add your names to the list.

Smith is a soft sounding surname like my 3 youngest (mills)and I was advised not to choose names with L and S sounds so chose Lucy!! and then you have to take initals into account and not give them SS like I did with my first!!

Yes they will definitely need middle names.

I am doing well thank you. Hope you are too

My D. is not too pleased with the SS.

Having been given an unusual name at birth (Elizabeth was originally my middle name) I just wanted popular, dare I say, common names for my children.

I'd always wanted a Lucy but we took ages to decide as there are so many lovely choices for girls.

When my 2nd Daughter's boyfriend was born his 2 Brother's insisted on naming him so were allowed to choose the middle names. Thomas the tank Engine was their inspiration. You might find Jack Spratt has some fave characters off the TV!

Good luck with the op and hope it goes well.

Elizabeth I am the same all us in my family have infuriatingly unusual names.

caused no end of embarrassment as a child :(

Therefore Lucy and Charlotte :) Anyone who knows me knows I would not have chosen Tia.

My nieces are Aurora, Freya and Nova...clearly my bro wasn't bothered about his name which is the WORST of all!!

Legs I forgot to say HUGE congratulations to you all :)

and best of luck with your thumb

Names are really interesting aren't they. I knew someone at work called Peter Knight which sounds like 'pee tonight'  which his parents never realised when they named him!

I shall ask Jack Spratt tomorrow though he normally says Crumb

And thanks for the good wishes re: thumb fusion :D
