... that I've not been flooded or affected by the severe weather that's pummelling the UK at the moment. Yes, we do have rain lashing at the windows and the wind is extremely strong here but when I think of all the people in Yorkshire, Scotland, Cumbria, Lancashire and elsewhere in the UK who've been flooded out, I am grateful that my family and I are all okay.
I have every sympathy for anyone who's been affected by this appalling state and sincerely hope that they get their homes sorted out as soon as is feasibly possible.
