Hi was just wondering if anyone had a child with neck problems? My daughter has polyarticular JIA on methotrexate, etanercept and prednisolone now as she has just had a flare but we have noticed she cant move her neck properly. Normally just knees hands and feet that get affected but this is quite new and not sure if it can be her arthritis. Hoping not xx

Hello Helena. I'm not the parent of a child with arthritis just a long-term RAer. My thinking would be that the body is designed for all the bits to work together smoothly. Of course, this doesn't happen with us so there can be 'knock-on' effects. This might be the case with your daughter but I'd suggest you don't leave it too long before seeking proper medical help just in case. If she's due to see the rheumatologist that would be good but, if not, maybe ring her rheumatology helpline or make an appointment with the GP. I hope it can be sorted quickly and easily. This must be very difficult for both of you.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
