We've had a roller coaster few weeks; hubby had a cardio version procedure at the beginning of the month, he visited his GP last Thursday because he's got a chest infection and she's told him that his heart has reverted back to AF! BUT on Friday morning, our eldest daughter gave birth to a beautiful little boy - our 2nd grandchild & 1st grandson! So we're currently on an 'up' period (at least til he sees his consultant in April!)

Yep, it makes your life a success, children producing offspring to carry the genes on, they just come running through the door and throw their arms round you, happiness all round.

Thankyou all for your good wishes. They all came round this afternoon, we had a lovely walk to see the lambs in the fields; and got some beautiful pics of our granddaughter cuddling our grandson - priceless!

New baby's brilliant - back up to birth weight & beyond; daughter must have some good stuff in her milk! Hubby's been back to see GP - he's got diuretics (to add to his cocktail of BP pills & beta blockers), and she's sending him for a chest x-Ray on Tuesday as she thinks he may have some fluid on his lungs - just been googling & scared myself silly; won't do that again in a hurry!

Belated congratulations on the new grandchild, Sharon, and best of luck to your husband. (I never google for myself, only for others  If you must, stick with reliable sites such as NHS Choices.)

Thanks, I do stick to NHS sites; you'd think I'd learn to keep my snout out of them and just wait for results/consultants comments! So, for now, I'm going to do as hubby does & forget about it until he's seen the specialist! And concentrate on playing with GD & cuddling GS

Just an update - we saw hubby's heart consultant yesterday - he's being referred to another hospital for an Ablation, as they don't do it at our local hospital. Sort of glad that they're not repeating the cardio version; they seem to think the ablation has a higher chance of success, although it is bit more invasive. Fingers crossed it does the trick!

As hubby's not yet heard about his initial appointment for his ablation, we decided to make a few phone calls - local hospital say they wrote to the other hospital on 21 April. Other hospital say they haven't received it! So we've asked for a copy to be faxed across - lucky we decided to chase eh?!

Hospitals are getting worse at losing letters so they don't get mailed over or not emailed! I had a similar thing happen to me! Last year when I was having my bunion operation they forgot to send the pre-op letter so I got my G.P's secretary to chase it and it hadn't been sent and I was due my operation the following week so they had to squeeze me in 4 days before the operation!! Sometimes they just need a kick up the butt!!
