Hi, I have my first Rheumatology appointment next Monday morning, I'm a bit unsure what to expect as well as a tad anxious so some company would be nice. I'm getting ready, diary, history , questions etc.
Going for tea and cake after.
He did not say you will not be storm tossed, you will not be sore distressed, you will not be work weary. He said you will not be overcome.

May I be there in spirit? We are going away before then (and I won't be taking my laptop) but he is taking his iPad, so hope to be able to read an update.

    I wish you well. DD

count me in your pocket. My first visit was a lot of chatting and history taking, physical exam, lots of moving and testing of joints etc. Then told me to take lots of pills  I will bring scones, just to tide us over. XX Aidan

Thank you both, one quick query, should I take my main painkiller med that morning? I am keeping a detailed pain diary this week.

Aiden thanks for letting me know what to expect on Monday.

I am blessed with an ability to forget pain as soon as it eases so have always been rubbish at explaining how pain was or is usually but not right now. So, in your shoes, I'd not take it if that's possible.

I'm in! A fruit scone and a "posh" coffee for me - especially if someone else is doing the washing up afterwards!

Hope it goes well for you Slosh.

Reporting for duty! I came home from a 30th birthday party today with the most amazing giant, melt in the mouth chocolate cookies as they were left over and I couldn't possibly eat them all myself! Well, I could but that's greedy and I want to share.
