Hi everyone

I just thought I'd mention on here futurelearn.com

Someone at work mentioned it to me and it's great lots of free short courses on loads of topics all from proper universities across the world.

I've found it's really helped take my mind of my diagnosis which is very new.

I was terrible at Maths at school but have been doing a three week course offered by Loughborough Uni on maths for engineering and I've really enjoyed it. Someone at work is doing the one on Mindfulness.

    Thanks for mentioning this paleogirl.
I've had a quick look at the site and am sure
    I'll find something of interest.
I presume it's all carried out on line.

Hi yes it's all online and works on a tablet as well as computer. it's been enjoyable so far. You are encouraged to interact which is nice on the discussion forum for each course.

Thank you, Paleogirl, I've not heard about this before so will investigate. I like learning and the experience of learning.

Good luck, Ichabod! I hope you enjoy your course.

I wish you both well. DD

    Hello Paleogirl,

I'm v grateful for you mentioning futurelearn.
I've finished one course, am halfway through another
and have just signed up for a third.
I think the concept of learning on line is brilliant, especially
for those of us who, in the words of the song, dont get
    around much anymore.
I mentioned it to a phone group I facilitate and within a week
three out of the six have signed up for courses.
