I am new to the forum and found it while searching for information on Trapeziumectomy which I am booked in for o 10th March having had a round of steroid injections in both thumbs. I am particularly interested in views on recovery time and eventual state of recovery. thanks

    Hi there, Jane. I just wanted to welcome you to the forums though I've not had a trapeziectomy.

    We did have a spate of them all together a while back but I think everyone has now recovered and mostly gone their separate ways. What I do remember about reading all their threads, though, is that there is no one-size-fits-all recovery period. Everyone seemed to recover and regain strength at their own pace. This makes sense to me as I've had hip and knee ops and the same goes for them too.

    If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
