Diet/Coffee Restrictions Help?

Has anyone found that modifying your diet significantly helps to reduce your arthritis symptoms?
I'm a heavy coffee drinker (5/6 cups a day) and have read that coffee can be oddly both pro-inflammatory as well as anti-inflammatory, so it's a bit of an enigma.
Anyone experienced improvement after reduction of coffee intake (or eliminating other items like nightshades)?

I have a creaky foot in both arthritic camps and can honestly say that for me the only difference diet makes is not to indulge in vinegary foods as that aggravates my OA. I lost my taste for coffee and red wine many moons ago. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
