I have just joined the forum & already have a question. Have osteoarthritis in back, wrists, hip, knee, both great toes. I'm trying to keep mobile, but my toes are causing me massive problems. Can anyone recommend a specific trainer with rigid upward curved toes for rocking push off. Rocker shoes no good for me, & podiatrist suggested rigid running shoe with rocker shape in toe area. Am in too much pain right now to traipse around shops, trying trainers on & so forth.

    Hello, I have psoriatic arthritis affecting all ten toes plus osteo in my ankles, knees and hips - walking hurts but that's the state of play. Shoes are not a problem because none of them, no matter what design, help things feel better as the damage is internal. Have you seen a orthotics specialist? They may be able to come up with a bespoke insole which might help to improve your situation. What pain relief do you take? DD

    Hello osteonorm and welcome from me too though I'm sorry you have so much pain in so many joints.

    Feet are difficult things. I've had RA for years and the only shoes I can wear now are surgical ones but, if a physio has recommended certain ones, they are probably well worth investigating. May I suggest that, to save walking, you do some online research on the ones recommended? Find a local (or easy to access) shop that sells them and then, hopefully, you'll only have to walk to one shop. You can also get independent reviews online and some sites allow you to ask questions of those who have bought a product. Amazon is one but I don't know if they'd sell what you want. Worth a try though? Good luck.
