hello, i have OA in my hip and fingers can anyone recommend any herbal treatments that actually work?.

    I'm sorry to hear that you have OsteoArthritis in your hip and fingers. How bad is it and what pain relief are you having at the moment?

    There is nothing worse than ongoing pain, everyone on here can empathise with that; how pain is perceived and dealt with is as individual as we are but we can all agree that it is a miserable experience. .

    I think the only proven 'natural' pain relief is capsaicin cream which can be bought or possibly prescribed by your GP. I have always opted for medical pain relief which is based on natural substances and, more importantly, manufactured to strict standards - who knows what you are buying when you go down the herbal route? People think that herbal means safe, a healthier option than medical drugs but as the provenance cannot be guaranteed I wouldn't trust them. DD
