It is advised that athritis sufferers avoid milk. Is this to avoid lactose or all milk contents. Can goats and ewe milk be use instead?

    Hi Kaymar19
Welcome to the forum, you don't say what type of Arthritis you suffer from,it would be good if you could tell us as the advice would be easier to give for all our forum users otherwise you sound like an advert for Lactose free diet and that is not allowed on this forum.
    Hope all goes well Christine

Who on earth advised that? What are their qualifications? Which type of arthritis were they referring to? There are lots of charlatans about. Eat a sensible, Mediterranean type diet. It won't cure any type of arthritis but will make it easier to live with.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

If wherever you have found that information does not answer those questions then I would suggest that the advice is doubtful.
This covers the issue quite well

From Daffy's link: "Despite conflicting information, the research paints a positive picture for milk-based products overall. A 2017 review of 52 clinical studies, published in Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition, concluded that dairy generally has anti-inflammatory effects, except in people allergic to cow’s milk."

Surely any milk is for infants of the species which produces it. I have never been of the opinion that it is a beneficial food source for adult humans, I have very little dairy in my diet and have both an auto-immune and osteo arthritis. Go figure. DD

Milk is a great source of protein and calcium and beneficial whatever your age is. Cutting it out . Why? Another fad. Obviously not if you are intolerant to it.🤷‍♀️
