Dear members,

We’re excited to announce that we are making some improvements to your online community.

The new community will still have all the forums that you are used to seeing, so although it may look a bit different everything will be in the same place. This is to give us all a chance to move in and feel at home.

Our amazing moderators will be trained up on the new look community - there to help you and answer any questions you may have.

Starting the week of 20th January our present forum will be read only.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause but we need to do this so that we don’t lose any of your details or your wonderful posts and that we can safely transfer them all over to the new community for you.

We are excited and look forward to seeing you on the new community

Best Wishes
Your Mod Team

OK. Thanks, Mods. Got it :D

Will there be something very big and obvious for newbies who are sometimes a bit bewildred even without a locked forum?

Oh and PLEASE can we get rid of those awful mega-sized emoticons? Pretty please?

    Hi Stickywicket

The emoticons are a more modern bit of tech that are handled perfectly in the new forum. Emoticons are now ubiquitous across the internet and work on all devices, operating systems and screens.

They will replace the variety of Smilies that we can post here at the moment.

Very modern but its the passing of an era...

It was the passing of an era when we stopped having to walk to another room when the phone rang or get up to change channels on the TV but that era went unmourned by any arthritic legs

    Thanks for the info, Brynmor.
