Hello I'm new here

Hello, my name is Jennifer but I go by Jenny.
I've had OA for many years mainly in my fingers & left knee along with a baker's cyst behind my left knee, right ankle, knees, hips, fingers & tail bone all have OA in them. Painful but at the moment just taking painkillers which help a little. I'm very fit otherwise, I dance, walk for an hour a day (2 X 30mins as I have 2 dogs) & I have a cross trainer, 30 mins X 2-3 times a week if my back isn't to painful. I get so tired but try my hardest to keep going.

Hello Jenny, welcome to the site. I only joined recently but am glad I did. It sounds like you have a lot to deal with, but well done managing to stay so active despite all that. My main gripe is awful OA in one hip, but you’ve inspired me to get off my moaning backside and at least try a little walk today. I think my dancing days are over till my new hip arrives(!), but we should get small pleasures where we can find them .

Hello Lilymary,, thank you for your comment. I try my best to keep going but also understand my body when I can't. Yes a little exercise
is better than none but I must stress that if it hurts don't do it. I do suffer after exercise but it doesn't hurt whilst doing it. Try & do a little bit more each day. I'm so stiff in the mornings especially my right hip. After lockdown I'm off to the doctor again for help/ more x-rays. I'm 56 this year & all the answer i get from doc's is " wear & tare. " I also have carpal tunnel syndrome in my right wrist & I'm starting to drop things now. Don't like to complain. I work part time but even that is hard sometimes. Take care and stay safe.
