What to ask consultant about total knee replacement

Got an appointment less than an hour ago to see a consultant first thing tomorrow morning about total knee replacement on NHS! What questions in particular should I be asking him?
Also, how long do I reckon on being crocked up if all goes well? I'm a bloke of 74, reasonably fit considering, and my BMI is 22.6. I'm not on any medication. Don't have a car so go everywhere on foot or by bicycle.
If you've had a TKR, what do you wish you'd known beforehand?
