Do straps help?

Had X-ray on knee over 4weeks ago which has not been reviewed yet😏. Am assuming it is arthritis as I have arthritis in both ankles. It is very painful at the moment and I have started wearing a strap but not sure if it’s doing any good or not. Getting frustrated now as it’s stopping me doing things and don’t seem to be getting anywhere with a diagnosis☹️. Does strapping the joint help? Many thanks!

Welcome to the versus arthritis forum.

You have arthritis in your ankles and await the results of a knee scan. You are experiencing pain and have tried using a strap but it’s not clear as to whether or not this is helping. You’d like to hear from any forum members who have tried strapping and whether it helped.
