Good afternoon. I have been experiencing several health issues recently. The latest is ear pain. Has anyone else experienced this? I think it might be related to arthritis in my jaw....or a TMJ problem. Otherwise, could it be put down to the medication (Hydroxychloroquine, Humira, Naproxen etc)? Many thanks.
Thanks for your support girls. The appointment went quite well. I told her that the consultant had said he didn't want them reduced until I had my MRI, the results, and talked to him. She accepted that and said your medicine check is in May anyway so if I don't hear from the consultant before that we'll have another look…
I have been having problems with my knees and joints for a while. I went to physio and it really helped the pain in my knees. However, with that better, my pain in different parts of my body but especially my legs, intensified. My physio told me it was osteoarthritis and that I could expect flare ups now and then. Anyway,…
I posted {Jan. I think} about my first appointment post op {TKR} It was a registrar, not the usual consultant I see. He noticed my ankles were very swollen and have been for over a year and said I should go on diuretics. He would put it in his letter to my GP. I said she wont give them to me because it has been suggested…
I am in the process of doing this and, until yesterday, I could not fault my County Council in their approach: I had a reminder email towards the end of January and began the process early last week (I expire in mid-March  ). I went online, and did what I could there but rightly they requested proof of my higher-rate…
Hi, Thought I'd start a new thread on my progress to avoid confusion, rather than keep updating "I'm Back!" I saw the nurse yesterday at the surgery. Although there was still a couple of "wet spots" on the scar she was happy with this, said there's no obvious signs of infection but reminded me what to watch out for. The…
Not many things get past a 3yr old and Joseph is an observant 3yr old. I saw the look of alarm on his Mum's face so I quickly said “You're right. I do. It's because my legs don't work properly.” “Did they never work properly?” “Yes, they used to.” “When you were a baby?” “Yes.” I nearly added “and for a few years after…
I have osteoarthritis on my hip, I was diagnosed with it 6/7 years ago the last week or so I've been feeling quite tired even though I sleep well at night, I work full time and my job is quite active, couple of times this week I have my hour lunch break and I fall asleep. Is Tiredness to do with the arthritis? I said in a…
Hi, Remember my mam went into hospital more than a year ago, then from there to a nursing home. Luckily its about 10 minutes away from my brother who can see her easily. I have got phone calls from her most days. Brother will ring me on his mobile, pass it to her and its a very short conversation. No 1.......for a 94 year…
So I've been told I need to start taking methotrexate which I'm a bit scared of. I'll still be taking plaquenil alongside it. Plus co-codamol plus naproxen. I feel this is a lot of pills for one person to take. I've a friend who takes methotrexate and she says about how toxic it is, apparently it's called the dirty drug.…
