Feel a bit weak today but again it was to be expected. It was a nice day so we went for a walk along the seafront after all I can't become housebound just because I'm having the dreaded poison pumped into me.
Well....with stick in hand and OH at the other side I still managed to trip over...nothing...or maybe my own feet. Nothing broken but I'm blue/black all down my right side but it could have been worse.....I could have pulled OH over with me.
Been sick but just because I was shaken up. Had to go to hospital anyway by ambulance as the cars were at home.Much ado about nothing really but because of the chemo I have to be checked which I pressume is why I have to carry a card around with me.Left hand is very swollen and skin peeling off it. Well it already was but not to this extent.
I now have a very guilty OH. Don't think he tripped me!!!!!
At least computer is behaving itself. If the sun shines tomorrow I'll sit in the garden although I'm not allowed sunshine although who wants to sit outside in the rain.Must get some pain relief again now.
I hope you have all had a reasonable day. Stay safe and bless you all
Love May xx

Blimey, that sounds like a bit too much of an adventure for an afternoon out! I hope the swellings and bruises subside and don't leave too much pain. I hope tomorrow is a bright day so you can enjoy the garden and have a relax. Take care, love LV xx

You really didn't need this, did you May! Perhaps a drink for the shock would be in order, for you, and your OH.
I hope tomorrow is a much better day for you.
    Take care,

Numpty..If I'd had a drink I would have had an excuse. The JD will be liberally consumed tonight if I want any sleep. Not by OH. He is on duty.
Just typing with one hand so short and sweet posts for the moment.
I really was lucky not to break anything and I'm still here. I shouldn't be feeling so sorry for myself. I don't do things by halves do I?

Exactly what I was thinking, Hileena, though falling like that when you have arthritis and are in the middle of chemo isn't really very lucky

May, I'm so sorry this happened. I know you'll be sensible though.

Make the most of the whisky. you've earned it, girl. ((()))

How are you today, May? Black and blue, I guess but I hope things aren't too bad and that the whisky helped you get a good night's sleep.

So not so lucky then. Scaphoid fracture. Hospital wanted to put a cast on but I can't have anything tight on me.Sick of the sight of the hospital.Theres very few departments I haven't been in. I did sleep reasonably well but when I got up my left hand was very swollen. I must have banged it on the ground....as you do.
I'm being very clever and very slow typing this with one hand and even that one is blue on the top because of the chemo.
I have a husband who is blaming himself as apparently he should have caught me. Its making me feel guilty now as it was my idea to go out in the first place.I'll now put my feet up. No sun here but warm enough though not for sitting in the garden.
Too early for JD and anyway I'm dosed up on pain relief.
Take care everyone Love May xx

Oh May! That's rubbishy luck. As if you didn't have enough to cope with.

Poor husband, too. Of course he will blame himself although no blame could attach.

You wanted to go out which was a good thing to do. Sometimes life just sucks. But you, being you, will pick yourself up and get back on track again before long. Meanwhile, have a few of these strong but very gentle ones. (((())))

I don't think anyone is to blame. It was an accident. You didn't trip deliberately and I'm sure your OH would have caught you if he could have. Hope the fracture heals quickly and the painkillers keep the pain at bay.

Oh my lovely. :( I am so sorry to read this, what a setback for you. Poor Mr Kellerman too - he must be feeling dreadful about it. There's nothing I can say or do but I am thinking of you, very very much, and please take things a little easier over the next few weeks: being a patient patient is not easy but sometimes it's necessary.
