Applying gels.
Morning all,
Hoping someone can help. My boyfriends mum has lots of pain in her joints and we are looking for some sort of tool to help her apply volterol or ibuprofen gel to her ankles. Problem is that she's not very agile and can't bend over to reach them.
Does anyone know if something that she can squeeze the gel onto then rub it in. Like a sponge or something with a long handle? Just something to make it a bit easier for her really.
Thanks in advance,
Emma

Hi, I have one of these which I used to put lotion on my back, it looks long enough to do the job you need. You may find them on another site a bit cheaper but I don't know https://www.completecareshop.co.uk/bathing-aids/sponges-and-washing-aids/long-handled-lotion-applicator

Occupational Therapy may be able to help the lady, this is their speciality.
If anyone has the time, gently rubbing it, or even body lotion (better then cream for this purpose) in for her might give her a lot of comfort.
Best wishes.
