hi what missing from diet if getting white dots under nails

Don't worry- the white spots on your fingernails are most likely to be caused by a mild zinc deficiency which can be easily corrected by taking a dietary supplement. Zinc is relatively safe and non-toxic so sensible levels of supplementation should do you no harm. I would advise 20-40mg of elemental zinc a day (available from chemists as zinc sulphate). It may take several weeks before any improvement is seen.

I remember years ago my sister used to eat packets of jelly. She said it made her nail stronger. I'm not sure about that one, but it you like sweet things it is nice!

Pitted nails is one of the symptoms of Psoriatic Arthritis. Mine have started improving at the moment and getting stronger. I have been in mTX for nearly 4 years now, so hopefully that is why. Ask your consultant if I were you.
