    Hi Lyn,
    We're a bit alike..... similar age, diagnosed with RA this year, no major illness previously.

    Then this comes along :shock:

    Been on MTX a few months with no side-effects that I know of. Don't think I'm getting worse although today I have put on a posting asking if the swelling/pain will ever go....... oh to wake up and jump out of bed like I used to :)

    Anyway, I put my trust in my rheumy, come on here for friendship and support, and try to keep positive. Life is still very good :)

    dont feel that you are making a big fuss!! this is something that affects so many of us and it changes so much in what we do that we are allowed to do and say what we feel is right for us!!! but I know what you mean, I feel guilty sometimes when I feel bad or sad, I dont tell everyone around me what I feel, just some close friends and my OH!! emotions are such strange and powerful things especially when dealing with 'arthur', but dont fight your emotions!!
