OH and exploding wheatbag

Hi
OH has managed to destroy my wheatbag in the microwave. Just a warning to others not to exceed the 2 minute time zone! He thought it wouldn't hurt to put it on another 30 seconds. Result: red hot wheat and a mini explosion in my microwave. This is why he only has limited visitation rights in the kitchen.
Anyway, he owes me a new wheatbag!

Hi Sharmaine,
that's a nuisance. Do you put a small container of water in the microwave too, whilst doing the heating ... ?
SpeedalongI have had OA since mid twenties. It affects my hips and knees. I had a THR on the left aged 30 and now have a resurface-replacement on the right - done May 2010.0 -

Hi Sharmaine,
I always dampen my wheatbag before microwaving .......I only know that because that's what the instructions said.

Hi is much safer to put wheatiebag in microwave with cup of water - stops it overheating/burning and maybe prevents explosions!!

Both my dog and the carpet were ok. He didn't actually eat any and it wiped up easily. It was quite funny though! :P0

Hi everyone
Thanks for the safety tips! Will certainly use water or dampen the wheatbag in future.
