Hi everyone, I hope you are all as well as can be. I have been thinking of taking an oil supplement and don't know which one to take. Which one is considered best for OA? Is it Cod Liver Oil, Omega 3,6,9 or Primrose Oil? I have read good reports on all of these but dont know if there is any medical evidence to support one in particular. Just wondered if anyone can help. Thanks. xx

There is no clear-cut answer to this: different things suit different people. I think you have to take a supplement for some time before any benefit can be detected but even then it is not guaranteed. I hope you find that one of them works - there is still some debate about their effectiveness in 'treating' OA. I wish you well. DD

    hi there

i take glucosamine and fish oils. i choose the fish oils as they generally have higher levels of the omega oils which helps reduce immflamation, over cod liver oil. Flaxseed oil is another oil that is very high in the omegas.

i think give it a few months and if you feel they help you, great. but if not, try one of the others

    hope this helps

I take fish oils, omega 3. I have kippers, smoked mackerel, rollmops, sardines......:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

Much nicer to take things naturally and I do have a bit of white fish on Fridays! Not sure it makes any difference but I do like fish.
