I am organising a concert to raise money for Arthritis Care.

I need people for the following roles:

fundraiser - to get raffle prizes and donations
marketing person - to promote the concert and sell tickets
organiser to help me - to recruit a concert band and I am hoping that my orchestra will be able to help. Also to book a venue and create tickets.
refreshment people - to serve coffee, tea and biscuits

Anyone feel able to step up for any of the roles???? please????

thanks Kneegirl

    Hi Kneegirl,

I think I did say before, I live to far away from you. I live down in Kent and at the moment not very mobile. Sorry.

I probably won't be able to help unless it's on the day and if I can get there easily?

Also, why don't you contact the website team to put this on the homepage too? I'm sure you'll get more coverage (and helpers) that way.

    Hi Kneegirl,

Where and when will this be?

Not sure I can offer much help, but if you need a grade 8 flautist (a bit rusty but nothing practice won't sort out!) then I could step in should you need.

Also, try getting the team to post it on the AC facebook page when you're more organised and trying to sell tickets etc, it might give you more coverag :-)

    Good luck!

    xx

Nice idea, will it be on the web later where we can listen? You have my support if nothing else.

Right we have a potential date :) 10th September and a potential venue (in York).

I really need someone (doesn't matter if you live away from York as some of these jobs can be done where ever you are) to contact organisations for raffle prizes - I can get a formal letter done by my regions manager. I will pay the person who sends these letters out £10.

Sorry if this event offends anyone I am simply doing my best to raise money for an organisation who is supporting us all very well.

    Best Wishes

Quite a lot of us on this forum donated to AC before for somebody who took part in a race.I try to spread my donations around and feel AC have had my share this year. I know you have taken a lot of time organising so hope it all goes well,
    Best of luck.

After reading Colleywobbles comments in LWA  I have made a donation. After all, the money will help fund the phone help line which can be a lifeline to those newly diagnosed.
