Why do I live in a bungalow?

I've just realised why as I've just crawled up my daughter's stairs. I can normally get up them, albeit a bit slow, but after driving the 90 miles to see her I have seized up somewhat.
I am looking after my grandsons as she was short of childcare today. I get to visit them and my other daughter for a few days too.
She rang earlier. I was laying on the sofa watching Spongebob Squarepants
with the youngest. He was engrosed in his DS game (OK, so it was just me watching Spongebob ) so I rolled off the sofa onto my knees, (much to both of their amusement), and pulled myself up using the sofa. By the time I had got to the phone it had stopped ringing.
I am now carrying it around with me. Daughter did ring back and said she thought I had gone to sleep

I am so lucky I do live in a bungalow, the flip side is that I am not doing myself any good by avoiding all steps and so I am not using those muscles - use it or lose it - I now know what that really means.0

Oh Polly
I really love my house, and the open aspects at the back across farm land, but the day is getting near that the stairs will be to hard for me, I know there is star lifts...but Im not sure if a bungalow would be smaller and easier to keep clean
I hope you do have a few days there , and a safe journey home, you take care...xLove
