Oh how depressing! The cold weather has returned and so has my arthritis!
The last couple of weeks my arthritis hasn't been so bad as it was over the winter and i was really enjoying not being in so much pain. Then this morning it was cold when i woke up and even before i got out of bed i could feel i was in more pain than of late!
Oh i do hope the warm weather returns soon and we can all smile a bit more again!!!

Hi Emma
I agree that the cold weather returning is not good news, I love a bit of sunshine on my old bones. Hopefully it will return again soon,.
Mind u we are lucky its not snowing like it is in the north,0 -
Yep I was a bit more plank like this morning, the cold and damp does make life more difficult. The forecast is a little better for tomorrow but April is an unpredictable month.
I was lovely being in the sunshine last week but muppet that I am, I got burnt when I was out pottering in the garden. The increase in MTX has made a difference this year and made me more prone to sunburn. Never satisfied are we!0 -
Hi Emma
Yes you are right....the cold and damp weather makes such a difference to most of us.
I woke up a few days back feeling sore and wondering why suddenly it was worse...It was hubby that said...its pouring with rain/snowing throught the night and its freezing. Thats whats doing it.
Over the past 10 days or so we have got spoiled with this beautiful weather so lets hope it comes back soon
Love

I live down south (london) and my partner wants us to move to North Wales one day! Although i also love it there, i don't know if my joints would agree and i don't know if i could live somewhere that is so damp and rainy most of the time!!!
BRING THE WARMTH AND SUNSHINE BACK, I MISS IT!!!!!!!LOVE EMMA X0 -
Hi Emma,
I so hope it will get warmer as well flower... this is cold isn't it? We have a bitter NE wind veering to the North and it makes you feel so cold and hunch up accordingly.... since my oa is running rampant in my shoulder and neck hunching is not good to do
You stay warm. Cris x0 -
Your so right emma!! Woke up this morning go to hobble down the stairs and my left knee let out the biggest crack and now it's so sore to walk on! It's lucky I only need to hobble round downstairs of my house! Bloomin weather!! Come back warm weather we need you!!0

Hear Hear !!!
Talk about 'Global Warming' ( I'm a big sceptic of that theory anyway! More like Global Freeezing !
Good job I always keep my jumpers and warm socks in easy reach.
The combination of Wet+Wind+Cold is the worst one for me.
Yes - COME BACK WARM SUNSHINE !!!! ASAP!!!Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans.0 -
This cold damp weather has really been giving our joints a good going over, I have been trying to get through work for the past 4 days with a really sore dodgy left knee, both hands really giving gip, and the right ankle has started to let me know that its not in a good mood, and then work wonder why Im suddenly not the cheerful smiley girl I normally am.
All I have to tell a manager im in pain from my arthritis and then you see her disappearing fast in the opposite direction. doesnt want to know as normal.
All I can say is YIPPEE I have a few days holiday away from work, and I am going to totally relax, become a couch potato, catch up on films I have fallen behind on, oh and I have a stack of at least 20 books I need to catch up on. Im not sure if I will get any time to do a wee bit of housework though.
but at least I can stay in the warm and just totally relax. which is exactly what I need to calm down my bad joints.0 -
Hi Emma
Just for a bit of balance to the thread.
I feel much worse in the heat, although I think the fatigue is worse in the cold.
But I always did go against the grain.
I wonder if there is a perfect weather for all of us, somewhere between freezing and heatwave?Ruby0
