    Hi Toots

Sorry to hear that you are still waiting for your Rheumy appointment, my gp did mark me as urgent and I waited 7 weeks, (I live in Dorset) GP said it would be about 2  things take so long these days! The other thing is that by the time we eventually get seen they are not seeing us at our worst. I felt a bit of a fraud when I went Thursday as I didn't physically look too bad, and although I still had some aches and pains I was having a fairly good day. I also felt rushed, I didn't get chance to tell him other things that I was concerned about :|

Although I have had my x-rays and blood tests done I am waiting for an appointment to come through for the ultrasound, I was told the waiting list will be around 5 weeks!! Then there will be another long wait to see the consultant.

I wish you all the very best for your next appointment, please let me know how you get on.

That sounds like a good appointment and it seems your consultant is being very thorough. I'm so pleased as it does help a lot to know that nothing is being dismissed out of hand.

One little tip - for any sort of appointment, if you are able, telling them you can take a cancellation might speed things up. (I said 'might' )
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thanks for that tip Stickywicket, I will remember that

Yes at least I am being checked out thoroughly, which is good!

Thanks Penny! I know they say these diseases need to be diagnosed quickly, but I honestly don't think it's possible with all the waiting for appointments!!

I hope your appointments come in quicker than anticipated and that you stay reasonably well in the meantime x

Hi Bubbadog, thank you for your message, yes I suppose I was lucky from what I have read of other people's experiences. Just got to wait now.

    Have a good weekend too!
    Take care
