Cough is better but I'm just going to take it easy as possible. I'm feeling a bit depressed today maybe its the thought of a whole week trying to keep my youngest Son happy.

Hope you all have lovely time with loved ones or holidays.

Hello to everyone here. I'm very cold today, can't seem to get warm. Every time I shiver, or sneeze, OH looks worried as that is how I started with my chest infection that sent me to hospital. Don't want that again.

Not very happy as I wanted to go shopping this morning, but the weather looked terrible so stayed home. Guess what, we hardly had any rain at all and could have gone anyway.

Elizabeth, I feel for you as it's difficult enough keeping children happy at the best of times, but when they have the problems that your boy has, it must be worse.

Nothing else to say really, I'm such a boring old F***!! Will pop back when I have something interesting to say. Hoping everyone has a good weekend and are recovering from colds, coughs, and anything else that ails them. xx

I very rarely feel depressed, try to see the bigger picture but things have been difficult of late. Everything seems to depend on other people, if they choose to make noise I'm stuck with it and having to deal with meltdowns. I've become totally paranoid. I get no respite either in the holidays.

So glad to see Toni posting. Best stay away though as we are a germy bunch.

47 kg, been there and below Toni. I remember OH buying those build up drinks and thick shakes to tempt me. Soup is also lovely when you feel so unwell but not too spicy as they can hurt the throat which gets a rough ride with all the sickness.

Can't wait to go to bed as have a background headache.

Hello everyone :) busy since I last looked in this morning, sorry there are still coughs & chills aplenty :( (don't seem to catch too much, mind you I keep away from everyone 8)) As such I had better be the one mixing up the hot drinks & honey & lemons, & passing out the remedies.. hope the ones who have gone to bed early will get the benefit. Sorry there is no decent tv for you all, yes there is so much mediocre stuff on.. maybe a Harry Potter/Come Dine mix episode would be better, mind you there would probably be real toads in the hole  (looks around nervously).

Glad you had a nice visit marrianne.. & that your kitchen is coming along :) won't it be nice when it's done. I have lost the thread of where you are at with your treatments, sorry  but I'm glad you are feeling more chipper.. My pc is usually not too badly behaved it is mostly me interfering with it  then not wanting to give up if I can't work something out. All good today touch wood.

TK I'm not surprised you feel a little down thinking of this week and with everything going on, I can't agree more about other people causing problems, when I think about these days, it always seems to be someone else putting me out but it's never the other way. Hope things are not too bad, weather doesn't sound all that brilliant, maybe it will be a bit damp for bank hol noise.

Kath I am so boring these days I bore myself.. if I have to write a letter or email I have no news to go in it, talk about stretching out the smallest bit of trivia to fill the space  ought to try & do something startling one of these days just to shake people up, that or start inventing things. Can't get warm either, it is quite chilly, I reckon, hope it's only that & nothing else, fingers crossed.

Toni, hello :) I'm not germy, you can sit by me.. Lucy is doing so well to put some weight on under the circumstances, there are some good suggestions here.. it will all help her.. no garden for me these few days, too damp & cold, I've only just darted out today to move a few pots that were getting waterlogged.. huge snail in among my radishes, I've warned him off your 'cues' :)

Applerose I would love one of those birdycams.. my Dad would have too if they had been around then.. but I do hope they survive, nature is very harsh.. maybe they will. :)

Barbara your ceiling  what a to do and thank heaven you were all ok! Maybe the 'ARP mouse' wanted you to 'put that light out' - that's one way of doing it!! We had a little earthquake here a few years ago which was quite a horrid feeling, everything shook I thought something was coming down, or a lorry had driven into something a few doors up, of course the cat ignored the whole thing, I thought they were meant to alert you beforehand.  I don't think I want any pomatos or whatever they are I am very anti-meddling with things, GM & so on, not quite the same but anyway it doesn't appeal. If your OH buys too much cake smuggle it in here, all welcome :D must add those choc fingers to my next list. So hope your sons appt was good. xx If you are still over by the window I will pass the teapot your way..

Myabe the temperature will settle somewhere where it suits us all joan.. if there is such a thing, I go from cold to too hot with no happy medium.. hope you feel better..

*Waves mig off on holiday with a spotted hanky*

Thinking of bubbles & anyone missing. xx

Mig, you sound as if you are just about ready for the off. I can't remember when you are going but hope you have a lovely time. Just read another of your posts and you are going tomorrow. Have fun. And Barbara has got the bus out so we can all come with you. See you there.

Marrianne, glad you managed to get out with your daughter and GD between the showers. Your kitchen sounds good with all that light coming in. Glad you enjoyed your meal out. it is nice having someone do it for you and no washing up. I'm like you, only take paracetamol and the occasional coco but nothing else.

Barbara, I forget to order online too. Always end up buying too much in the store. Hope your chest is at least starting to ease now. I think babies do become more hard work as they start getting about more.

Elizabeth, glad your cough is easing now. yes, rest up as much as possible. I really hope this week isn't as bad as you think. Hope the headache has cleared by morning.

Kath it's been a bit chilly here too today. I can imagine your OH being worried. You certainly don't want another chest infection.

Joan, hope you are feeling as well as you can be and can enjoy the bank holiday weekend despite your sore mouth.

Toni, I read that you are at home. Hope you, Lucy and your family manage to have a lovely weekend.

My sister (the one who left the photos on the bus but got them back again) has been posting some of them on f*ceb**k for us. it's good to see pictures of my grandparents, aunties and cousins when we were all young. Rained on and off so got a bit wet today and very wet yesterday. Fingers crossed for some nice weather for the bank holiday.

Just spotted you Toady. I sometimes try to think of things I can do that would be newsworthy but then can't be bothered to do it. I don't often feel the cold but I can suddenly feel so hot that I think I will pass out. I've got a few pots sitting in a puddle but I think they'll be ok for now.

Just a late call.. yes tired but of course I could just go to bed like a sensible person so it's my own fault  will do better tomorrow, I say that every day & mean it, one day I'll surprise myself and actually turn over a new leaf.

Thanks for the tea barbara :) slippers eh, why not.. I'm wearing boots in the house, hardly 'summery'.. there are so few weeks when light shoes are suitable really. yet I buy way more summer stuff than winter, optimistic or just stupid. No idea about house snails  what is drawing them in do you suppose.. surely not the damp, that's what they like & brings them all out in the garden.. I go out with a torch if I have to go down the path or garden in case I tread on one, otherwise it'll upset me. :? Forgot to say, about parcels.. if you mean the mousetrap it never arrived, I'll have to tell them; the other one, I had a refund in the end, it went all over the place & ended up neither here nor back to sender. Not sure if they will get it back either.. sorry your art class was a bit sniffy, maybe they had knew each other & had got cliquey the way these things can do.. it would be a good thing to take up though :) as you don't have to exert yourself too much.. unless you only wanted to paint views from the top of dramatic bits of the countryside (now who's rambling.. not in the country-walking sense either).

Applerose well done to your sister for following up on getting some photos scanned.. do you need a very good scanner to get a decent result from old b&w pics or would a fairly ordinary one do, I've wondered about it sometimes.. would be good as you could add details that you can't write on the photos & then everyone could have a copy. Hope you have a good Bank Hol break if you are off til Tues. :) Maybe get your painting done?

Hello joan, hope you've had a goodish day not too damp.. been a bit variable but not too bad. Hope Kath and TK are ok, and marrianne is having a rest.. bubbles too.. mig should be underway I expect.. Monday tomorrow then things back to normal on Tues.

Have been changing my eb*y passwords, reluctantly, I liked my passwords, I know you're supposed to keep changing them anyway but mine were good ones. Blah.

Will be here tomorrow I daresay :) xx
