Oops, sorry Barbara. The lollies are very nice though. They save me from eating huge tubs of ice cream. My daughter did find Mango's owner but she said she didn't want him, that's why she'd thrown him out. Some of the Spanish think it's ok to do that. Hope you had a nice trip out at the garden centre.

Elizabeth, it was a lovely day yesterday for a drive. Hope you have managed to rest after shopping. Ah, of course it's Mother's Day on Sunday. I wasn't thinking about that. I think my mind can't cope with more than one thing at a time these days. It is difficult finding somewhere to eat that day. My dil managed to get us in to a pub/restaurant in the next town. Hope you find somewhere.

Toni, Mango has been hard work at times. It took a long time to get him healthy and even now, he's fussy with his food. I do think a cat would be easier for me but I am very much a doggy person - the bigger and hairier the better. I used to have Pyrenean mountain dogs. Although how I would cope now, I don't know. I'm looking forward to hearing all about the charity night. It sounds as if it will be a fabulous evening.

Kath, yes I did think I'd caught the wrong bus because I did last week. I'm quite good when it comes to opening presents and can leave them until the day. Doesn't mean I don't feel them though.

    Hope you are well Mig.

I'm off to the cinema tomorrow afternoon to see The Second Best Marigold Hotel. I enjoyed the first one so looking forward to it.

just sorting through some tasks while I am awake. My new Fridge freezer is being delivered tomorrow from the online company with 2 vowels as its name, customer services were great. Got a time slot to allow me to empty the fridge before they arrive and not leave it for too long, although got to wait 4 hours before plugging the new one in. Luckily there are no meds to worry about as only just been given the okay to reorder humira after the lost blood test fiasco (but forgot to ask if HAH will ring me or I need to contact them to arrange delivery. Think I'll do the latter)

Red nose day tomorrow and I need to think of costumes so will need to go through the clothes. Don't think we have much just a few Victorian dresses. Lucy has messy hair day! How ironic after all my efforts to keep the knots out

I've actually slept really well lately.

good luck with the charity night plans Toni. I'm sure it will all go well.

Going to watch the final of Sewing B tonight.Between the army man and the lady with short blonde hair as they've both been great all the ay through.

    Right must keep on,
The SW is coming back tomorrow Toni. I'm not looking forward to it. Think I'll have to be monosyllabic.

Hello Barbara. sorry to read your AB's did not work. I think you should let the GP know. How awful for you.

I'm just going to bump up Elna's post as her op is due shortly.

Either I'm going mad, or my post has gone missing!! :x I'm sure I posted earlier because I Replied to other's posts. Yes, it all comes back to me. I hoped mig wasn't too upset by the funeral. Said how sorry I was that Barbara's AB's didn't work. Loads of little comments to you all. It's never happened to me before. I sympathise with others who have lost posts in the past. :? Think I'll have a quick rant.

Hi all :) hello TK, thanks for the greeting. Things are a bit mixed at the moment :? am still trying to sort a rheumy appt (as it turns out, the usual staff problems) - there might be an earlier appt if they can rummage up a new bod. Til then I'm on a waiting list to be bumped up sooner if poss. The sort of good news, is I can have a steroid jab at the drs if I feel the need, which means being able to decide at short notice. So that's handy to have up my sleeve. Glad you had a good birthday :) Enjoy the Sewing, I have watched some, even while thinking how much I don't want to do any! those fiddly waistcoat pockets, oh dear. :o Good luck with the freezer switchover.

Yesterday, along with this months bloods & the above, was a bit of a day and a half, as I nearly locked myself out again, different set of circumstances, got stuck down the side between back door & side gate on my way out with a taxi waiting. On way back, found bus timetable had changed again in the space of a few weeks (there was me with it printed out so I didn't get caught out  ), cue the usual saga of hanging about & trying 2 closed cafes before I could get a cuppa.

Others have been for bloods too, I see, so we are swimming in the stuff. Glad Kath's went ok :) Here's someone else who, having wrestled with hair-washing yesterday, is tempted to go for the short chop too. *Looks speculatively at the scissors* Here is something cup-a-soup themed for you (may have seen it/them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWksvwqM3Ok). :D Sorry about your post :( we'll take the good intent of your messages, thanks.

Barbara what will we do with you if the AB's are so useless. :( There was a poster in the GPs saying Keep Calm and Antibiotics Aren't Always the Answer (which apart from the clumsy grammar, and can they please stop it now with the Keep Calm and.. everything  ,) - that's all well and good! Have they nothing useful to suggest? Though I see you don't want to go to ENT if poss. I haven't put in any new bulbs but what's already in is coming up nicely & some should be 'clumping' & making more hopefully. Can't see that much getting done in the garden but like you I will be fiddling with pots of herbs & bits & bobs if I can. I did wonder about some dwarf runner beans.

Applerose, Mango looks like such a dear. Glad the handover went well. :) You are not having much luck with the buses either. 45 mins, I would be half asleep by then, & barely know where I was getting off. :? Have a nice outing to the cinema.

Toni is busy on FB.. here is where a Keep Calm (and keep the coffee machine going!) probably would actually be appropriate.. hope it's all going ok! Re talk of photos, I am updating & revising the thread at the min :) or will be, so if anyone has anything to add or ask - like a query you've found or a handy tip, have a think & let me know.

Hope joan & sue are keeping ok and warm. The dr would like me to have a bone density test joan, but it will have to go on 'the list' of appointments for now. You can't get to everything. Hope Peppa is better now?

Glad mig is around although sorry a funeral was part of your week away. :(

Hello to Cate and Bubbles too. I have the answer to our overcrowded bed situation - Box and Cox. 8)

I am currently in the middle of self-inflicted comp problems, so am going to try & get somewhere with them. Shouldn't have started fiddling.

    Love & teacups, toady xx

Barbara, can't find a brush, will this mop do? :D

    a045.gif

I didn't know that you could lose your post if someone else posted at same time. :o I wonder if I should feel guilty for maybe being the cause of others losing posts in the past. :?

Lovely and sunny today, but really cold. Ventured out into the garden when OH fed the birds - soon scurried indoors again. Brrr! Hope all are feeling as good as they can.

Toady, those Crocus are gorgeous. Our local council have gone mad, planting purple or yellow Crocus everywhere. I don't mind though, they are so lovely.

I see all the beds are full, so will bed down in the corner on the floor. Maybe in warmer months we could have some camp beds outside.

    Joan, retrievers are lovely dogs.

Barbara, I'm glad you are going to see your GP. It must be draining you having a headache and coughing all the time. Did you manage to get some lollies?

Elizabeth, Hope your freezer arrived ok and is now up and running. Did the kids get sorted out for red nose day?

Kath, I lost my post last night too. I clicked on a link then deleted it so deleting my post too. I've found that sometimes when I click 'submit', it takes me to a page which says someone else has posted so do I want to change my post before submitting it. If I don't notice that and go to another page, that's when the post disappears.

Toady, hope you got your appointments sorted out. You did have a bit of a day, didn't you? Glad you finally got a cuppa. I'm with you about the Keep Calm stuff. It doesn't sound clever at all now. Beautiful crocuses.

I went to see The Second Best Marigold Hotel yesterday. I loved it. It was much better than the first one so I can't wait for the next one, if they do another one. It was a very nice day today, only getting a bit colder at teatime. Did any of you see Benefits Street a while ago? They are making another one in a town near us. Our Borough Council are not happy and have arranged a lot of things to make the town look good. They have had people taking photos of the good areas to post on the internet. Today and tomorrow, thousands of people are whispering a message to each other and passing it on all round the borough. Tomorrow night, it will be revealed what the message it. I think it will be I Love Stockton. Might go in to town so I can take part in passing the message on. A clown is going to take the message down the river in a boat from Stockton to Yarm, where I live so I might go and see him.

Christine think we went to the wrong shop..Ald*..did you say Lidl*..so will have to go there..but don't worry I will find them :D ..glad you got to see the film..it does look good from the trailers but I haven't seen any..and I used to love going to the cinema..will have to buck up my ideas..they could make benefit street near us..we have a council estate and might I add I was born there in the 50s and what a lovely place to live...but not it has been taken over..there are still some lovely people living there but bit by bit they go.. :(
I hope they get it stopped in Stockton..its not nice when they film and bring a place down..good for you getting involved.. :) good luck

Oops, sorry Barbara. Just as well you noticed me there. The lollies are definitely in Ald*. I bought some more yesterday. I think different stores don't keep some things. I've found i couldn't find some things that were advertised. They are all mixed in with other flavours and are like the M*gn*ms. I have to lift some out to see what's underneath and have a good search through to find them. My family have always lived in council houses and now housing association. There was only me who bought a house and my brother had one for a few years but is in a housing association house now. It's not the fact they are council, it's the people who live in them. Most are, like you say, lovely people.

    Hello everyone,

Barbara, you have to find out what's going on with your headaches. It's a nuisance having to see yet another consultant though isn't it? My younger son had similar problems after a really heavy cold, though not the headaches. After much messing around, he went privately, only to find there was very little they could do, other than sprays and stuff. They did mention an op, but it had a poor success rate, and was apparently rather nasty.

Christine, is Mango still in transit, or has he arrived? Those lollies sound lovely, especially if they're like Ma*num, which I can eat til they come out me ears! Will look out for them.

I'm going to have some tea and toast, and sit by the window with my book.

    Love to anyone I haven't actually mentioned.....Be well.....Cate.x

Hello everybody, applerose catered fro breakfast so I'm bringing up the rear with egg & crinkle cut chips and bread & butter, frothy coffee (from a sachet sorry, the poor man's 'pod' but they were on offer  ), tea if preferred, and a strawberry and clotted cream sponge cake. Also 'bought'. Never mind. If fussy, opt for barbara's lemon drizzle. :D Hope you had a good visit with your niece and good luck for Mon if I'm not in before.

Cold, as predicted, so I'm not shifting far from the fire today. We must try & get Kath something better than the floor. You can have my bed while I try & get 'something done' this afternoon.

Glad the cinema was good applerose. I never go either, even though we have a small independent I'd like to support. Always mean to sit & watch films on the laptop, it couldn't get much easier, but don't often. How are the chinese (stockton) whispers going? Oh, the temptation the keep passing on odd messages! Who had to start it off and is it strictly one at a time?

Comic relief was the donation option going through the e*ay checkout (with the new laptop dvd drive I needed) so that's my best as I shan't be getting on the bus with a funny face on (well, only my own) or a red nose - though it has been known in the distant past. :D

Nice to see Cate & joan in, love to anyone else reading. xx

Hello everyone. Hope all are having a good weekend.

Thought you might like to see Retro Emily AKA Kirsty Allsop, with her new/old 1940s cabinet. Only cost £15 from her local charity shop.

    Emily%20cabinet_zps51ofyfyq.jpg

Toady, thank you for the lovely meal and bed. As I'm not feeling too bad today, I won't hog it for too long. I'm sure someone will pop in whose need is greater. :):( (smile for you, sad face for those who are feeling worse than I am).

Cate, you really must stop putting M**n*ms in your ears. Much better in your mouth. Speaking of which, mine is sore again.

Joan, I've had that message before too, but didn't notice one when I lost my post the other day. Probably in too much of a hurry to see it.

Christine, I hope you enjoyed the film.

My DIL (Mrs youngest son) works in a call centre for a well known fuel supplier that begins with E. They were the official call centre in our area for Red Nose Day. Just caught a glimpse of her on TV last night when the local TV news program visited there to interview them.

I'm stuffed now I've had that huge meal, so off to bed for a while.

    Hello Everyone!!

KathT is that your daughter?? She looks lovely :) and your DIl was on telly!!!!

Barbara if you are STILL getting these headaches you really muct try to get them sorted out :( (((())))

Oooh a small piece of lemon drizzle left for me :) With a caramel macchiato for anyone who fancies one (Cate/Barbara??)

Oh dear Toady has left strawberry and clotted cream sponge too!!! I must just try a slice....no lunch for me ;) I approve of that option to donate as little as £1 to causes like comic relief on eb*y. I would be interested to know how much that part makes them....?

Hello Cate - I hope the lollies were lovely and I've made you a caramel macchiato - at least in here they are calorie-free!!

Joan I hope you are all well and it's warm enough to take the dogs out for their walks today :)

Christine - you can loose your post when posting at the same time as someone else - I've done it. It's when you're very busy and you don't see the message Joan mentions and move on to another thread or log off isn't it:(

I want to see the 2nd best Marigold hotel too!! :) I have the first here on DVD sat waiting for us to watch

    That whispering game sounds amazing!!!

I AM very busy on facebook (like it or not!) and if any of you post there please do pop in and comment away all publicity gratefully received :)

I am trying to post a few photos every day so people buy tickets!!!

I wondered whether to post that Lucy had her Intrathecal on Friday, but felt it might be a bit like emotional blackmail!!!

anyway I do hope everyone is well today....Elizabeth???? and anyone else who I have accidentally forgotten

    Love and ((()))

Love the sewing machine me and my sisters learnt to sew with one of those.
Just made tomato soup in the soup machine,we got cherry tomatoes from the market but the skins are a bit tough so used them and one of those herb pots by o-o. Mig
