At the age of 93 actor Patrick McNee has died. He began his fame as
John Steed in 1961's tv show The Avengers.

    I heard this last night: I loved The Avengers with him and Diana Rigg, no-one could do smooth and suave in quite the same manner! He did many other things too but will always be remembered as John Steed. DD
