    Hello everyone,

I'm up and running again......well not running exactly.

I've had a rotten cold, which hasn't helped my general mood. We seem to be at stalemate with my youngest grandgirlie. Her mother has decided that she doesn't want to come to my home any more. I'm absolutely bewildered. I have run myself ragged and spent a fortune to make her welcome. Thankfully, nothing has changed between my son and I, so I'm grateful for that......not that I ever thought it would, too much love there. He is very unhappy though, and that's what upsets me more than anything else.

I go away in two weeks and will see my younger son, and his two girls. That will be lovely, but somehow only emphasises the absence of the other little one in my life. She will be two in a few weeks. Anyway, it is what it is, and I have to try to accept things as they are for now.

Right, I'll have a macchiato, and read back to see how everyone's been.

    Much love to you all....Cate.x

Hello everyone, hope things are reasonably good for most of you. Just popped in to see which soups etc Emily delivered. She's quick and quiet, I don't suppose anyone has actually seen her in the cafe. She's a bit like Father Christmas. Hope you are still enjoying her pies, cakes, soups etc. She did say she'd make a special shepherd's pie and yes, there it is. Think I'll have some before it all goes, followed by some pear and cranberry crumble - you don't often see that.

Cate, I hope your cold has about gone now. Have a big bowlful of Emily's crumble, and a muggatea. Special builders - just how you like it. Have you ever sent her a pretty notelet asking ever so nicely why she has turned against you? Oh I wish I could do something to help.

Barbara, my OH doesn't come to the hospital with me. Firstly he would be totally useless and I prefer to be alone. Secondly there would be no way he could get home, and considering it's usually in the wee small hours when I take ill (inconsiderate wotsit that I am) he's better off going back to bed.

Joan, I hope you and Sue are keeping well. Have you had your flu jabs yet? It can't be long until your appointment now.

Just going to let off a bit of steam outside while it is dry.

    Doing the Frankenstein Stomp :zombie2:

Now the zombiecat YOWL :zombie-cat: Put that bucket of water away Cate, it's only me.

Now to practice my skills at bandages. :zombie-mummy: not very good, am I.

Quick pop in as I need to struggle with the hoovering.

Lucy is 12 today but she's had all her presents already (and a bit more) but at least she accepts that. And she doesn't want a cake either. Got my Charlie visiting tomorrow-I've not seen her since early June.

I have been able to get help filling out the PIP form for Dan so that is also a major worry done and dusted.

I promise I will pop back and read all your posts when I have done that hoovering. Hope I don't find any :spider: Mig!

After a lovely sunny day, it's suddenly gone rather dark. :? And next door's visitor's dog is yapping it's head off - wish they'd take it home. Think I'll scare it away with a zombie cat.
    :zombie-cat:

Barbara, hope you enjoyed your sit by the lake with refreshments. Just the thing while the weather is still pleasant. :D

Elizabeth, I hope the vacuuming didn't wear you out too much. I keep looking at those DT*** ones, as my two cleaners are far too heavy for me. Why two? One for down and one for up.

Mig, it's the time of year for spiders. I don't mind the small ones as I can pick those up and put them outside, but those big, black, hairy ones - EEEEK.

Annoying that isn't it Joan? :(

Never mind they know the thought was there.

Kath - I had a feeling that Emily sneaks in while we are all off-line in the we small hours in her nightshirt and night-cap. That's how I picture her!

Very wise leaving hubby at home when you are ill. You need to worry about yourself in those situations.

Mig we had a few of those too.....creepy I don't even like them as smilies!!!

Elizabeth I hope you have a lovely visit with your Charlie :) Happy Birthday to your Lucy too h087.gif

Well done for completing the PIP form a job well done that :)

Hi Barbara - I noticed the tree will probably grow again? I am so pleased HAH!! Good old nature :)

I hope the nasty neighbour is still being meek and that his wife is having a well-earned break from him. Thank you Lucy is still loving college :)

They even let her cut someone's hair a bit under supervision! Today has been 'sets' Lovely! ;)

Cate - I wish I had the answer, but.....sigh.......I don't have one. Maybe the clue is in how much your son loves his Mum??? Mind you I for one wouldn't want to be married to a man who doesn't love his Mum. Jealousy I mean?? Sending you ((())

I hope everyone has had some of the lovely sunshine :)

    Morning Barbara and Joan :)

Barbara I am certain seeing Baby Niamh and hearing her little funny ways is such a tonic :)

I am very pleased your neighbour is being so strong - not easy at any age, but surely a scary prospect as you get older. I hope you're right about her son helping her.

If you are right about Toady and her new meds I also wish her best of luck :)

Hello Joan :) The roadworks are set to end November I bet it's the last day!!! The extra set that are further down (about a 1/4 mile!) should have finished they were supposed to be only 2 weeks and nearly made us late this week :(

I hope you are having a good weekend yourselves :)

Right better get my sleeves up ;)

OH went for his flu jab yesterday morning. While there, I made my next appointment for blood test. Monday 2nd November at 8am. Shopped at A**a, then went home. Postie arrived (late as usual) with a letter from my chest consultant. CT scan showed no blood clots on my lungs, just some inflammation, so I have to have it redone in 6 weeks time. She also arranged an appointment with her for Monday 2nd November!! So I now have to rearrange my blood test appointment for another day!! Annoying, but relieved about there being no blood clots. :D

Helping myself to coffee and cake, mustn't mess up Toni's spotless cafe. :?

Barbara, we have single beds too, adjustable ones. But they're in the same room, so we still disturb one another when we need the loo in the night.
    :zombie2:

Joan, what date is your appointment with the foot man? Hope it goes well.

Toni, I'm laughing at the thought of Emily wearing a nightshirt and cap, just like wee willy winkie. I bet she carries a candle too. Alex has made her a lovely 30s style dress, which is on her latest blog.

Hoping Toady, Cate, Elizabeth and Christine are all keeping well. Can't remember how long Christine will be away for - quite some time I imagine. Lucky lady. :D

    Afternoon All :)

    Barbara
let those pusskins in for a treat ;) hehehe! I think half-term must be next week here - usually the same week as my Mum's birthday was - 29th :?

You did ok if the baking is at yours but the party elsewhere ;)

Chemo tomorrow for Lucy and need to see Dr Tim. - so don't worry if you don't see me :)

Talking of Lucys has anyone seen Elizabeth? I hope she's ok and Toady...cate too :?

Joan the 26th will soon be here it's the 12th already!! How right are you about the roadworks

Hi Christine!! Sounds like you are having a great time :) I am so pleased :) You are totally right - plenty of time to rest when you get back here!

Kath how infuriating that the two apts clash, luckily the bloods can usually be changed easily enough :) Such a relief there are no clots too phew!

Emily does indeed have a candle when I picture her a bit like Wee Willy Winkie :)

    Right best get on

Hi Toni I've been a sleepy girl catching up. I can't seem to get a good nights sleep at the moment, always something annoying me. Mind you the itching has lessened ad the wounds are now healing but I've not had my usual humira for a few weeks now. Nice to hear Lucy is doing well and good luck with the chemo. What is Charley upto now?

Dan has his assessment for the sleepovers today. It is taking place at his school. I hope they don't mention how he doesn't switch off at night but on the other hand he sleeps when on school trips but thats because they wear him out.

I had a lovely Saturday with Charlie, bearing gifts as she missed Dan's B'day too. We even played some board games ad that was a laugh. My other Daughter is coming this weekend!

I think Applerose was away for 3 weeks but possibly 4. I wonder how her boss is coping without her? Applerose you haven't mentioned the weather once! It is nippy here.

I am pleased there are no bloodclots Kath. That is good news. Typical getting 2 appointments for the same day! Good luck for the 2nd Nov.

Barbara cats know where they can get treats and cuddles and they won't give up. I think your GD had a halloween party last year as she ate the cake, forgot it or claimed she's dropped it! She can't play that trick again.
