Hello everyone,
I haven't read back yet, but I hope everyone is OK.
My shoulder - has to be the right one doesn't it? - has been stopping me from typing, as pain travels down my arm and into my hand when I do. I may have another talk to my GP about possible surgery.......then again, maybe not!
Right, let me see what delights our lovely Emily has left for us......ooh cakey cakey cakey.
Much love to you all........Cate.x0 -

Hello my lovelies. Hope all is well where you are. Although I've just seen the coming weather. Winter draws on as they say.
Been shopping today with my winter coat over vest, tee shirt, jumper and cardigan. Hat and gloves, think it's a bit too early yet for my boots but will probably add my scarf next time I go out.
Joan, 12 days and counting.
Cate, there will always be cake. Cake for our Cate. Sorry to hear you've had problems with your shoulder, arm and hand. :?
Elizabeth, I hope you are managing to get more sleep. :horror-movie: I thought this was someone yawning.
Barbara, I hope your blood test results are good. I haven't done any blogging for a while, I can't think of anything to write about. But Emily's is getting better all the time.
Toni, I hope Lucy's chemo went well and that Dr Tim had good news for you both.
Christine, it's good to know you are enjoying your visit. :pumpkin:"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

Hot water bottles have been in order for a few weeks now and winter quilts are out of the box ready to cover and put on the beds.
Hi Joan I love to get visits from my grown-up girls although I worry about them travelling home in the dark.
Kath the yawning ghost looks about right. In fact it has set me off again!
Poor Cate with the painful shoulder. I hope you are able to cope with daily tasks. I bet it disturbs your sleep too.
Barbara my itching was worse at night but there were also times when I itched all day. I'm now certain it is caused by humira. Hope you had a nice visit with DIL and baby.
Today has been quiet with not much to report. I'd quite like more days like this
Hoping everyone and their pets have a lovely evening including those who are temporarily absent,

Just finished dinner so popping in for an iced drink. Was only 34 degrees today. Phew! Couldn't cope with living here. Kids are doing shows now to entertain us. One more week to go. I've got lots of photos but can't upload them till I get home. I'll only post a few.
Hope all is well in the cafe. xChristine0 -
Has Emily been in yet? Oh yes, I can see the toffee apples she promised us. Oh look, she does have a weired sense of humour, a bowl full of bobbing apples too. Have fun everyone - if you can get down there.Sticky toffee pudding on the menu today too. Lots of hot dogs, burgers, and plenty of shepherds pie some with real mince some with quorn mince. Cocoa and hot chocolate by the gallon too. Enjoy.
Christine, 34 degrees! That's obscene. But hope you are enjoying the sun anyway. Hope you're watching out for those nasty Australian spiders too.
:scary-spider:
Toni, so happy that Dr Tim is on the ball with Lucy's meds.
Elizabeth, lovely to think of you all cosy in your duvet.
Sending everyone hugs, including those I've missed.

Hope everyone's doing ok..will put the kettle on and sit in the window for a while...love to everyone....xxxxLove
Barbara0 -
Hi Barbara
The wards in the YPU at the QE have that flooring down - much more hygienic than wood when you have cancer.
I hope you will get your results sooner rather than later.
Hi Joan - so far today has been good I hope also with you? Charley is either at university or at work helping the elderly in their won homes. I do see her thoughTia won't be home for a good few weeks though
Kath - of course Emily has been inShe wouldn't forget us
I have had (one or two) toffee apples already
Christine34 degrees sounds blissful
sigh.....I can't wait to see some of your photos when you get home. Enjoy your last week xx
I hope Elizabeth cate and mig are ok.
Love

Lucy's bedroom has flooring that looks like wood Barbara. It does look nice but best of all it is warm to tread on.
I had my feet in a bucket of hot water this morning to see if that would ease the itching. Then Lucy put my prescribed steroid cream on and it seems to be working.
I haven't been back to sleep today, first time in ages.
No feedback on Daniel's assesment yet but PIP forms completed and sent.
I'm pleased Charley is back at uni. Sorry your neck is so bad.
Did Mig say she was visiting her Son, or was it Italy? Mig and Hubby seem to be enjoying their freedom and good for them.
Looking forward to getting Christine back home safely. I wish it were 34 here!
Joan take care, Kath look after yourself, hope Toady is okay with the new meds and Cate is resting the shoulder.
I'm hoping for a warming stew Kath! Can your D. do the honours?

Hello Kathleen Barbara Toni and anyone else I missed.
Kathleen we went for our flu jab this morning and I saw a spider walking across the carpet people just stopped walking and then a lady covered it and took it out side. I was waiting for the doctor he comes into the waiting room to give us the jab sue is in her wheelchair.
Barbara I hope you are having a good weekend with not too much pain.
Toni you have a good weekend I hope you can get some rest with out too much pain.

Thanks Joan
I am sat here with my wheaties on my back shoulders and neck - won't stay too long
I hope you and Sue are ok after your jabs :? It's a good job the doctor sorts Sue out if she can't get in the room for hers!
Right time for a quick clean up
and empty the bin
better do the loo I suppose
love to everyone
Toni xxx0 -
Morning all...funny weather that is all I will say...
Toni I think you need some hugs((()))..after all you have done and still doing..things are catching up..like I say half term will hopefully give you time to rest..not always possible with a family...hope your neck and shoulder ease up very soon..
Joan I never kill a spider.. but try and catch them to let the go ..outside..I think all the story's of them biting are scaring people into killing them..yes a good weekend here..hope you and Sue have the same..
On my own for a few hours...OH gone helping his BIL...what a mess when he stated to take out old floor up..we had a flood with the washer not long ago, and the fiber board under the flooring is soaking and smells awful... :zombie-cat: so trying to dry it out before Tuesday...
A cuppa I think then will help Toni with the cleaning..cant leave it all to her not with a poorly neck...Love

Hello all you brave friends. The sun is trying to peep through here and not really doing very well. Cloud cover is just too thick. :?
I already know what Emily will deliver this coming Thursday, we had a conflab about it on Friday when I rang her. There will definitely be a warming stew full of vegetables and dumpling. One will have good old beef while the other is Quorn mince. She is also bringing seasoned baked potato wedges, with paprika and chilli powder and onion flavouring. More shepherd's pie.
Roasted Veg and Feta Puff Pastry Tart. Pumpkin pie, chocolate cake, ginger cake, banana cake, carrot cake and individual lemon cakes.
Joan, I'm glad you and Sue got your flu jabs. I'm wearing my thermal vest today with a lovely warm cardigan on top. I bought myself some new bed socks from T***o yesterday. Lovely and snuggly in bed last night.
Toni, you shouldn't be doing all that cleaning when you have such pain. Here, let me help.
Sending love to all. xx"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." Robert A Heinlein

I don't mind a wait for PIP because he has a current DLA award which will continue until at least next September so until then I'm not worried.
Toni that is why I ask about Charley. Everything must have had an effect on her and getting back to her studies can't be easy.
I had a lovely time with my Daughter. Today she had to go home because she starts her new M.A course tomorrow. I do wish she could have stayed longer.
I like the sound of the stew Kath-can't wait!
Shame about the flooring Barbara but at least it is a chance to get it all done in one go. I'm worried we have a floor like that in the shower room because water used to leak a bit out of the door and the flooring is a bit mottled looking.
One thin about the wooden flooring is be careful when you polish as then the floor does become very slippery!
Mig as been found.
Applerose should be returning soon. It will be nice to see her photo's
Take care all

Kath I think we had better start paying Emily wages...hee conflab or fab not sure... me and my mum used to do that...
OH is till emptying the room..it seem to be drying out...thank goodness ..its weds when they come to fit it..thought it was tomorrow :?
Hope Toni's shoulder and neck are easing for her..and Cates shoulder is doing the same before she goes away..
Love to everyone else...xxxxxLove
