Toni so sorry I missed the 11th Jan. I hope you coped with the day. xx

I haven't yet read back more than a few posts, sorry.

Things are good here just been so tired and I keep getting interrupted sleep, first Daniel wants me then Lucy! She's had the horrible cold and been off school again and I'm a bit sniffly but I've had worse so I'm not complaining.

We only had a thin layer of snow but it is very cold and we now have the heating on.

So I'll read back now and see what I've missed.

Wow, you all have snow. We don't here. It's cold but only had snow on Friday morning. Hope it clears up soon.

Toni, I hope your OH has a safe journey. And I hope your migraines don't come back any time soon.

Mig, I made a pot of lentil soup today. I love home made soup.

Barbara, how wonderful listening to the children in the snow. Although I prefer not to have snow these days, I've had many happy days playing in it as a child and with my children. It does bring those memories back, doesn't it?

Elizabeth, sorry to hear about the colds. Hopefully they won't last long. Hope you get some decent sleep tonight.

I'm sure there's something terribly wrong with me as I slept well again last night. Spent a couple of hours at my son's then finished my jigsaw. Yaaay! Hmmm, now do I start another one or find something else to do?

    Evening All!

Barbara roll on Wednesday for you. I hope they can sort you out finally.

Migraines are awful aren't they? Mine were dreadful at various times...youth....childbirth and now - older age maybe?

Lovely to hear kids playing in snow isn't it?

Elizabeth thanks and ((())) to you :) I do really hope you get a good night soon - poor kids. Not a lot worse than not getting enough sleep. Get well soon all of you.

Joan I was very careful I let Paul do all the driving and I have some really great boots. Is it cat food she feeds the foxes, your neighbour?

Christine - lentil soup is one of my absolute favourites too! Start another jigsaw I think - you really enjoyed that one :)

Hi mig - good to see you sorry I missed the soup :(

Guess what? On Wednesday afternoon our house is being valued! Time to downsize.....scary.

Anyone free to help me clean?

    Love

    Hello all,

Joan, guess what, they are putting me on patches :!: I don't know the dose yet, so I'm hoping they will be less than 40mg. I should get them around Friday so I will let you know. Mind you, my skin is pretty tough, so hopefully I won't suffer in the same way you did.

Thankfully we didn't have much snow. It's very rare we do here. Surrounded by rivers, canals, and a power station. It keeps the air too warm for heavy snow, but it has been known on rare occasions.

Joan, it sounds like a good idea to do jigsaws on the computer. Hope you enjoyed your shopping trip.

Barbara, hope your appointment goes well tomorrow. Did you get the presents you needed?

Toni, I think another jigsaw is calling me. I missed doing some last night. So it's tomorrow you get the house valued. Have you decided where you want to move to yet? Or are you staying in the same area?

Mig, hope the spicy butternut squash soup tasted as good as it sounds.

Kath, hopefully the patches will work well with no side effects.

T*sc* had some lovely little hat and scarf sets at half price today. They were 1-2 years, which is too small for my GD, or 3-6 years, which were really big. I was very good today and didn't buy anything naughty. :D

    Hello everyone :)

Just had the first estate agent out to value the house...scary!

Waiting to hear back once sq footage is calculated :?

Viewing a bungalow tomorrow!! Exiting :)

Joan what a great idea doing puzzle on computer!! I didn't know you could! Bitternut squash is less sweet and more nutty - I prefer it.

Christine do the next puzzle and enjoy yourself with it. We won't be far from here within about 10 miles really because of Lucy's course and Paul's work. It's starting to feel scary

Kath I hope the patches work for you. Neither Barbara nor I have skin problems just poor Joan on them :( We have canals and a power station too!

    and a forest!

Mig I want some of that soup please I love butternut squash and spicy sounds even better :)

Hope Barbara is ok - her apt is tomorrow not today I think.....and Elizabeth too :? as well as other missing friends

Joan, I usually do 1000 piece jigsaws but have a couple of 1500 pieces. There's also a 2000 piece one but I'm wondering if that's too big. I like the Wasgij ones (Jigsaw for anyone who doesn't know). My dad is doing fine. He seems quite happy at the moment. Thanks for asking.

Toni, it is a bit scary moving, isn't it? I always enjoyed it in the past although missed my old house for a short while. It is exciting though being in a new house. My daughter has just bought a house in Australia. They are moving in 2 weeks so my daughter is feeling the same. I've put away the jigsaw and put the next one on the table ready. Probably start tomorrow.

Kath, I think peppered beef steaks with sweet potato and spicy roasted roots followed by mango and pear cobbler for tonight. Sounds yummy.

Barbara, just as well I didn't buy anything naughty as I'm still working my way through Xmas goodies. I'm sure the balloon won't be as bad as it sounds and hopefully it will sort things out once and for all. Glad you had some good weather and got to have something to eat out.

Youngest GD and I played with home made play dough which mum sent. Although it was soft and pliable, it still crumbled and kept dropping on the carpet. At least the crumbs dried out and could be hoovered up. We finished off by making a play dough cake with candles for mummy. Not sure why as it was her birthday 2 months ago. And we must have sung every nursery rhyme, even some I've not heard of.

Oh Joan, I do hope these work better for you. It's Fentanyl patches they've given me, along with the Oramorph and Alandronic Acid.

Let's hope things begin to improve now.

    Joan I found the puzzles!
    What a great idea :)

I hope the new patches work for you - you ache so much ((()))

Kath I hope your new combination works out for you too - please thank Emily for me - I am going to have the cinnamon apples for pudding and for my main the curry I think :)

Christine you and your GD are having such fun together! good job the play dough was hooverable! I love singing nursery rhymes too bless her :)

Glad your puzzle is ready for action!

Barbara - oooops! Well I am glad it's done and dusted for now. I take it more antib's for now? When you have the procedure done we'll come along with you and hold your hands (down to stop you panicking!).

At least you ad a treat while you were out ;)

The bungalow was FABULOUS!!! Really great, but the garden although amazing was a lot of work. If we go for it we'd need to work out how to make it less high maintenance sadly :(

So glad you liked the bungalow Toni. The garden can be changed to suit hopefully.Trouble with downsizing is you still have the high selling and buying costs so doesn't leave much for making changes, I am a bit envious though as I'd love somewhere in the countryside. Mind you our new neighbours are so quiet you wouldn't know they were there.

I've feeling a bit iffy-dizzy and weak so I'm on the laptop in bed.

I love jigsaw puzzles and had some fantastic puzzles as presents when I was young, Dante's inferno and The Birth of Venus by Boticelli and my favourite The Picnic by James Tissot. I wouldn't have the space to make them nowadays.

Applerose I used to spend ages singing nursery rhymes. We had a book and I read it so many times I knew the book off by heart! Then we got a video which my Girls adored. Some of the rhymes are a bit creepy though!

Barbara sorry to hear about the infection and hope it can be cleared up as you've had it for ages. Good luck with the new car, you should be okay if you have a mechanic with you.
I love salted caramel ice cream too (my fave is by Cooks) but I've stopped eating the sweet stuff and I've been very good.

    Posting before I mess up

Barbara, I've moved every 5-6 years all my life except this house. I've been here just over 21 years. Not got any plans to move just yet but, like you, think a bungalow might be a good idea some time in the future. I always enjoyed moving but, again like you, won't look forward to it this time. I'm so glad your cough is going now, Hope you find a good car.

Joan, I'm going to have a look at the online puzzles. I hope the patches work well for you. My eyes are just the same. They usually bother me most in the evenings so I keep forgetting to call in to see the optician during the day.

Kath, how are you doing? Hope things have improved for you.

Toni, how wonderful the bungalow is so lovely. I hope you can work out what to do about the garden.

Elizabeth, you're right about the nursery rhymes being creepy. It's the same with fairy tales and some kid's films. My son told me that my youngest GD, the one I look after sometimes, had been playing Red Riding Hood with her dolls and had gone running to mum saying she had scared herself. There's a kids' programme on tv with some cartoon monsters. She now needs a night light in her bedroom to chase away the monsters.

I've now got a new jigsaw started, a puzzle book at the ready and looked out my Nintendo DS to do puzzles on there. That's not giving me much exercise though, is it?
