    Evening All :)

Hi Kath - still hoping you get a bit more relief with the extra patches and no belly ache!!!

We had strong winds and rain but sort of splashy not torrential so ok.

Had another agent to value the house today and the last one due Weds.

Barbara you must be too busy ATM that's two appointments you got to by the skin of your teeth!!

It does rather feel like a milestone for Lucy driving :)

    Mig
    is AWOL you're right :?

Joan this valuer was better and has given us an initial figure also their charges are more reasonable thanks.

Christine sonic? wow!! I wonder if it works as well then? Mind you my electric makes my nose buzz which I don't like so...?? Thanks for checking in on Lucy I am pleased to say all is well ATM :)

Good idea to see the specialist nurse Lucy's epilepsy one is great and can prescribe too :)

    Right onwards and upwards!!

    Love to you all

Thanks Joan, it hasn't been too bad a day although I did get soaked on the way home from work. It poured down most of the day. Hope it hasn't been too bad where you are.

Barbara, I felt much better today so now wondering if I should still go to my GP. By the time I get there, the bloods will probably be normal. I bought some new daffs today. I do like them. The ones in the garden are about to open. Hope all went well at the dentist.

Kath, think we must have got your rain. Hasn't stopped all day. Glad your appetite is coming back. I really should order online but I can't help buying everything while I'm in store.

Toni, hope the estate agents are giving you a good quote on the house. My son had one agent who wanted to be paid up front but they haven't found a buyer and another agent will only take payment if the house sells. I looked up how a sonic brush works. Apparently it both brushes the teeth at thousands of oscillations a minute (might be a slight exaggeration) and also pushes the fluid in the mouth through and over the teeth very quickly so cleaning the teeth better. I know what you mean about the buzzy nose.

Oops, I bought ice cream today. Wasn't supposed to buy any more but it was half price.

Mig, so sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. She is at peace now. (((hugs))) xx

Joan, I do hope you are over the tummy bug now. Hope Sue doesn't get it.

Toni, I've only had 2 teaspoons of ice cream up till now. Can't say I'll be saying the same at the weekend. Haven't used my hedgehog toothbrush again yet as it needed charging. Only had one use in it when I got it. I'll check out the bungalow after I've posted or I'll end up deleting this.

Kath, don't worry about repeating any of the meals. They are all delicious enough to have again.

Barbara, lucky you not having to go back to the dentist for 12 months. I went just before Xmas and my teeth have kept niggling ever since. No doubt I'll be back there again soon.

Today, my GD and I spent our time playing with play dough and wrapping and unwrapping each other as presents using a fleece throw. Didn't do much for our hair dos.

We're having new neighbours again. We were quite anxious after the last lot, but OH saw the owner of the house who gave us some good news, so feeling very relieved now. The new neighbour is the owners mum and her partner and little doggy. So a mature lady, very quiet. The dog is quite elderly too, so it looks as though things will be better than they have been. PHEW! :D

Joan the patches are certainly helping. I hope yours are too. I also hope your tummy is better.

The worst of the pain seems to have gone, but I feel rather bruised. Not very pleasant, but I'm not complaining too much after what it was like originally. :o  :?

Ah Kath that is good news a nice neighbour!!

Sooo glad to hear the patches are helping you too :)

Oh Barbara! I know how much you love those pusskins!! You poor thing :( If she has a tumour and is 18 surgery and treatment would be plain cruel so this is for the best.....She'' be running at rainbow bridge with all the cats who've gone before her ((()))

28th fb I'll try to remember!!!

At our dentist you can go every 12 months if your teeth don't need anything done Joan, but if you so much as need a scrape and polish it's 6 monthly!

The bungalow is fantastic isn't it? Expensive so we need to get as much as possible for this one :?

Glad to hear you're over the bug.

Christine! I reckon you make a good present as would your little GD :) Fun times :)

Well done only eating a bit of ice-cream. Problems with me is I'd eat the lot!!

Gosh we do have a lot of missing friends...Elizabeth Cate Toady Slomo and coco...???? I hope they are well and know we are thinking of them

Just popping in quickly. I hope you are all well.

I'm glad your new neighbours sound okay Kath. Just hope the dog doesn't bark all day. Its such a worry isn't it?Its been so much quieter round here as the Boom Boom music people seemed to have shut up. Maybe the person responsible has moved on or gone to uni. Our new neighbours are unbelievably quiet-even with 2 very young children!
Good to hear the pain has improved a little.

Well today I was supposed to be visiting the respite centre at long last but Daniel got sent home from school yesterday and they like 48 hours before return. So I've had to send OH alone but I really want to check it out.

Did I mention I went to Bournemouth last weekend. We all stayed in a hotel, paid for by OH parents. I wasn't looking forward to it but it turned out fine. I never got in the jacuzzi as Lucy stole my swim suit.

Barbara 18 is a good innings but I know it is so difficult to see them over rainbow bridge.I'm glad to read you have found a car and are happy with it. Its a big decision.

Mig so sorry. I hope Hubby is coping.

I need to go back and read about Toni's bungalow!

All the best to Joan and Applerose too.

Hello Joan. When I take my old patch off, I put the new ones on the same day, but in a different place. I try to change them at the same time each time. For me, it's 5pm or thereabouts. I fold the old one in half and put it in a little bag. I have quite a collection now. I have an empty bottle of Oramorph in the bag too, and will give them to the girl that brings my prescriptions to take back for the pharmacy to dispose of them. I've been getting a squiffy tummy since I've been on them too, I though morphine made you constipated. Must nip back and look for Barbara's comment about it.

Elizabeth, no, my new neighbours dog is a quite elderly spaniel and we haven't heard a peep from him/her yet.

My appointment letter for Feb 10th has arrived. I have to take a skirt or pair of shorts with me as it is my hip and spine they are examining. I don't own any shorts or skirts, so not sure what to do. I did think of popping a short nightie under my trousers, do you think that will do?

I too hope all our missing friends are keeping well and the reason for their absence isn't through illness.

    Hi everyone,
Well I've finished another week of my phased return plan so only next week to go and then I'm onto my regular hours. Next week I do two full days with a half day in the middle, then its back to my regular three full days. Just hope I can manage it every week and that if I'm not that I'm brave enough to say so and not keep plodding on. Will just have to think positive.

Mig: so sorry to hear about your SIL, it doesn't make it any easier knowing it was expected, my love to you and yours, xx

Kathleen: it sounds like you've been lucky with your new neighbours. It got me thinking that despite moving frequently we've been lucky too - and then I thought about it properly. Twice we had our kitchen flooded by upstairs letting their washing machine overflow (different houses). Had another upstairs neighbour who was most vocal in showing her delight at lovemaking regardless of the time of night, or day! But the 'prize' must go to neighbour no.1 who lived across the landing. Fortunately we were not at home when he had a falling out with his OH and went at her with an axe then having missed her put the axe through the glass panel of our front door and ran up and down the stairs of the flats calling everyone out to fight with him. I believe they were both rehoused, Mrs Neighbour to somewhere safe and Mr Neighbour at HM pleasure!! Luckily there have been some good neighbours too.

Joan: hope you're tummy troubles are a thing of the past now, it's horrid isnt it? I had several when I was taking alendronic acid and am very glad my rheumy was happy to take me off it (really must go and get my prescription for risedronate and see if that really is better for me).

Hope everyone is pottering along OK and keeping well, or well-ish
    Love to all

    Hello everyone :)

Elizabeth I am glad the visit for the respite centre has come up but such a shame you couldn't go :(

Even better that you had a lovely weekend away - I was born in Bournemouth!

I am so glad you love the bungalow - so do I am busy showing Paul lots of unsuitable houses so he chooses that one!! You can come and stay ;)

Joan - I hope the sickly feeling is just left over from the bug or if it IS the patches that it eases off when you get used to them :? We still have to fit Lucy and Tia inhere and Charley too sometimes. Smaller than this house so be easier to clean I hope.

Kath - I think they are thinking of your dignity......a tricky one that, but I am sure a nightie under trousers will keep you decent enough and allow them access.

Hi Slomo - so next week is the last 'slightly easier' week? How have you been coping so far with it? Is it getting harder/too hard? I hope not and that you will be brave enough to say so if it gets too much for you

    Love and ((())) everyone

Blimey busy in here..its been a lovely day here so had a ride out
Joan the patches did make me feel sickly and sometimes tummy ache..I replace mine has soon as I take the other off and try and put it in a different place
Kath so glad the new neighbours are nice..its always a worry..and an elderly dog what more could you ask.. :) nice and peaceful..glad the pain has eased..when my hips were examined I just wore normal clothes..but they are all different..and when I had my first MRI I ended up walking about in my kickers...
Toni you are right about the little cat..its over with now..they took her earlier and said she was so peaceful..bless..you made me laugh with the plot to show Paul unsuitable houses...brilliant
Elizabeth glad your neighbours are quieter..hope it last ..its many years since we went to Bournemouth..and we loved it..but its so far away from us..glad you enjoyed it..and I hope the respite turns out to be just thing for Danial..
Slomo good luck next week, but yes you tell them if its to hard on you..blimey you have had some exciting neighbours..dont like the thought of the axe man.. hopefully its nice and quiet now..

Barbara, glad you found a good car. Sorry to hear about the cat. It is very sad but not fair to keep her if she is in pain. I'm sure you will miss her. Is the hot tub still on the go?

Kath, it is a worry when you get new neighbours. Glad to hear they seem like nice people. I'm sure a nightie would be ok. It would be a bit expensive buying a skirt or shorts just for your appointment. Or could you borrow some?

Toni, I got confused about how often I was supposed to go for a dental check-up till my dentist said it was different for each patient. Some needed more looking after than others. I love the bungalow. do hope you manage to get it. We'll all come and visit. The 'well done' for not eating much ice cream was a bit premature. It all disappeared this evening.

Elizabeth, it's good to hear your neighbours have been quiet. Mine have too. They've gone from shouting all the time to me hardly ever hearing them. I haven't seen the woman next door since September. Her husband said she'd had a break down but didn't say whether she was at home or in hospital. What a shame you couldn't get to the respite centre. Could you go another day? Glad you enjoyed your trip to Bournemouth.

Joan, hope the sickly feeling doesn't last. How is Sue?

Slomo, it is tiring returning to work. How are you feeling at the moment? If you feel it is too much too soon, you really should tell them and hopefully take it slower. Oh my goodness, how awful of that man to try to take an axe to his OH. Thank goodness you were out.

I just couldn't get on at work today. My boss's sister and her husband were there for a meeting. They all own the business together. At first, they all stayed in the office but then my boss's wife had the hairdresser in the kitchen to colour her hair then they were all walking about from room to room. I had to keep moving. My boss's sister is such a lovely sweet woman. She always comes to chat with me. Her husband is phwoarfully nice too. An Italian chef. Don't you just love the Italian accent. He chats too and often makes me a cuppa. Today he had some sweets I think they might be going to sell. He actually came looking for me to try one to see what I thought.

Wahay Christine!! Now wonder you stay there if the boss's sister's husband is such a dish!!! Hahaha! I bet you loved those sweeties

Not easy to work around them all though :?

So the ice-cream didn't survive then

Barbara you will need to keep a special eye out for the other pusskin because she will miss her 'sibling'. I am so glad all went peacefully. :(

Now the bad news....the cunning plot isn't working!! HE (Gone off him ATM) thinks the bungalow isn't 'special enough'

I'll keep at it though :|

It's pouring down here do Daisycat is rather cross bless her.

Oh Toni, men. They have no idea have they? Do you think your OH might find something better? It would certainly be something if he did.

Barbara, we are doing quite well weatherwise for the time of year. It was very sunny here. I had to wear my sun glasses today and yesterday. Thanks for warming up the hot tub.

Joan, hope you've got some of the sunshine. It's been lovely, although cold, here today.

I decided to go to one of the bigger towns today. I needed some birthday cards but also bought another jigsaw and while I was in M&S, a lemon drizzle cake fell in to my basket. The girl at the check out was asking what they are like as her brother has had to stop eating gluten. It's amazing how many people do.
